assuming the following roster after draft day:
okafor/sacre
randle/kelly/???
???/young
kobe/brown
clarkson/???
8 players, 4 active spots, 3 inactive spots.
lots of money
2 draft picks
-prob need a veteran backup PG
-prob need a starting wing
-prob need vet backup PF/C
how would fill in at least those 3 gaps? |

isn't he an unrestricted agent? i only put the guy we will have for sure (that is under contract. most likely pickup sacre's option, ed davis will prob opt out) |

Realistically: Christmas, Star Wars, Love 19 mill, Rondo 4 mill, Wes Johnson with the exception.
Hopefully: Trade Nick Young, trade two picks for Justin Anderson, LMA, Carroll or Afflalo, room exception to a backup PG not sure who. |

Love Randle I would just prefer grabbing a superstar before next summer. There's no way we'll intrigue Durant if we don't have one imo. Plus I think Randle coming off the bench for the first couple of seasons is best for him but that's just my opinion. Afflalo is an LA guy so he might want to come home or something. Yeah he didn't play well in Portland at all but I would still try to sign him. Really any pretty good wing would do. |

I like Luol Deng, albeit on a short and reasonable deal. Level-headed veteran that can provide defense, scoring and knock down the occasional three.

Do people here really want Danny Green or are they just mistaking him for Draymond Green?
I'm asking because it's Danny Green. He's a good role player but he deserves a max of 6-7M/yr. |

The price will only look ridiculous this coming season. With the rising cap (50% increase!), the price will look just right _________________ Kobe |

14M for Danny Green will never look right.
Let's compare that to other wing players' contracts for next year.
Gordan Hayward (25) -15M
Chandler Parsons (26) - 15M
Klay Thompson (25) -15M
Trevor Ariza (29) - 8M
Kawhi Leonard (23) - ??
Draymond Green (25) - ??
These contracts were made with the expected cap increase. All of them much more talented than Danny Green (27).
Here are other 3pt specialists:
JJ Reddick (30) - 7M
Kyle Korver (34) - 6M
Are you still going to give Danny 3 and D Green 14M? He literally has no other decent skill than 3's and Defense. |

Would be a definite upgrade over Wes Johnson. |

My #1 choice would be: Love ($18-20M), Aminu ($3-5M) and Mo Williams (room exception).
#2 Carroll ($10-14M), Ed Davis ($4-5M) and Beverley ($7-8M) or Joseph ($2.5-5M) |

He might be this year's Lin/Boozer and aging vet, who might fit in for a reasonable $3-5 million deal, a stop-gap measure at SF. But heck, Richard Jefferson had a pretty good comeback year, so why not Deng? |

big: Thaddeus Young and Ed Davis
wing: Corey Brewer, Demare Carroll
PG: no preference |
