Ideas for Young
To Grizzlies, playoff team that needs shooting.

For Lance Stephanson, short deal or a risky player

Jordan Hill???

Any ideas guys?

Kings need shooting. If they can get another PG, we could trade swaggy P straight up for Darren Collison. He has 2 years left on his contract.

I think this one is the best I can think of so far:

Lakers outgoing:
Swaggy P

Charlotte Hornets outgoing:
Brian Roberts
Troy Daniels
Jeffrey Taylor

Charlotte needs shooters in the worst way. They'd give us 3 expiring contracts for a 2016 FA run. We also fill up 3 roster spots with cheap contracts, which lets us spend on players we actually want.

After last season, I don't think you can really call Young a shooter with a straight face.

What? I can easily call him a shooter with a straight face. He is a a career 37.6% 3 point shooter. It's not even up for debate - he is a shooter. He just needs to be in the right system, because he's not really great at the other things. He is like a JR Smith.

I say package Hill and the 27th pick to move in the draft. do the same with young and the 34th pick. this way you get a rookie and save money on the salary cap.

It doesn't work that way. We'd have to take salary back if that were the case (unless it's a team under the cap), and the only team that would want Jordan Hill is one that is contending and needs a big. We wouldn't be able to move up that much if we packaged JHill too. Maybe 1 or 2 spots, if even.

Decline Hill's option and stretch Young if you don't want him on the team. I do, so I wouldn't do anything.

No need to stretch him. He is on a good contract. He can do a pretty good job on a contender. He'd do well on a team like the Clippers. I think that might be the best destination for him, since the Clippers need bench scoring.

Re-sign Dahntay Jones for $3 million/1 year and package him with an expiring (Lester Hudson) for Swaggy P straight up. Swaggy P is happy because he gets to stay home and play for a contender. Since Doc's such a terrible GM, we could possibly get a future 2nd rounder (if the Clippers still have any).

From a shooting perspective, last season was an aberration.

Is Love or Aldridge worth $9mil MORE than Hill?

If so, decline Hill and offer them $18mil per

Someone brought up Young for Hawes a while back. Honestly I'm indifferent. But if we strike out on a veteran big, Hawes has the skillset to play alongside Okafor, Towns, or Randle. After his current Clipers stint though I don't see him as a playoff contributor.

Actually you know what I'd like?

Swaggy P and Ryan Kelly for Jamal Crawford. We get an expiring for the 2016 FA run, and clear up Ryan's contract this summer.

Jamal is 35 now.. way too old, and his shooting numbers were horrid last year. 39% FG, 32% 3 point shooting.

1.) Nick Young + 27 for Trevor Ariza

2.) Nick Young + Jordan Hill for JaVale Mcgee

3.) Nick Young for Dougie McBuckets + Kirk Hinrich

4.) Nick Young + second round pick for Corey Brewer

5.) Jordan Hill + Nick Young for Roy Hibbert

Solid options. What do you think about something like Hill+Young+34th for Ross and Vasquez?

Ross is a very young talent with strong upside/potential and Vasquez gives us depth at the point guard position.

Raptors I feel would entertain this deal because they get a really good "back-up" center(which they desperately need) in Hill and Young gives them more of a scoring threat than TROSS has. The 34th pick as the cherry on the top.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2496918-most-likely-trade-targets-for-the-los-angeles-lakers-this-offseason

Brandon Jennings
OJ Mayo
Wilson Chandler
Terrence Ross
CJ Miles
Mario Chalmers
Lance Stephenson (Already traded to the Clippers, I guess they were thinking the same thing)

Assuming the Lakers draft a big man (Towns, Okafor, Upshaw, etc.), then maybe they can sign Hill and trade him along with Nick Young and draft pick(s) for some of the above players. Guys like Jennings, Mayo, Ross, Chandler, etc. may be able to take that next big step in their career if they put on the purple and gold. I would be fine with getting Jennings, Mayo, Chandler or Ross.

I would love to somehow get Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard, Kris Middleton, Tobias Harris, etc. via sign and trade scenario, but I doubt it.

I just don't think we can do another year of Wesley Johnson and Xavier Henry (too injury prone). And lets not try to re-sign Kendall Marshall as I would rather we go in a different direction. But maybe signing Wesley Matthews (assuming he is healthy) is an option.

Jordan hill, nick young, ryan Kelly, #27 and #34 for David lee and Harrison Barnes...

if this trade goes down on draft night what happens?...

well for one... this saves the warriors about $3M dollars on the season... its not a bunch but guess what.... they avoid the lux tax... with the green contract coming they're going to need to avoid that repeater tax in the future...

gets them one extra year of not being in close to that repeater tax...

they get a stretch 4 in ryan Kelly who can hit the 3... and theyd get another infusion of youth with the 27 and 34...

they get instant scoring with nick young even tho he's a bit wild he's a HUGE upgrade over Barbosa...

they even have the option to pick up Hill's option for next year and decline Speights' option of about 3 million... again Hill is another HUGE upgrade over Speights...

so what do we get out of it?...
Barnes... guy can play the 4, play the 3 and would solidify our front court with Barnes, Randle and Okafor our front court is set... we could have about 9 million to go after a guy like Louis Williams to fill the need for scoring off the bench with young gone...

and how does this go down? well david lee and nick young happen to both be represented by Mark Bartelstein.

Swaggy and Hill for Henson and Mayo.

We get a legit scorer off the bench and a backup Center for Okafor.
