Sometimes I feel like if I had one NBA wish, it would be for Shannon Brown to have made that dunk. Of course, practically I should wish for winning '08 or something like that, but honestly....that dunk would have been the greatest ever. The only one to top VC's olympic dunk.

So close to legend.

I wish he made his dunk in the slam dunk contest. What a letdown.

I miss that team. The final shot of the bench watching the replay together shows what chemistry that team had.

What made that team great was the fact that everyone on that bench was fearless against every opposing teams best star players. They wanted a piece of everybody.

Right. Because there is a clearly drawn line between the two.

Our team has the same kind of chemistry right now. But because we're losing people hate the shows of comradery. If they were winning they'd be saying this pretty much.

If when we beat the Celtics la few months ago we were capping off a 8-9 game winning streak that "celebration" at the end would have been seen as 'epic' instead of what it was called.

That's how much winning cures.

My wish would be Kobe connecting on that dunk attempt over Paul Pierce in game 7 2010.... Would have been an all time greatest Kobe moment.

I had forgotten about that. That's the one where Pierce fouled his arm hard right?

Yes, for the most part, I agree, and of course, winning cures and/or masks most issues. Wasn't implying anything about this past season's team not having that chemistry.

Yeah, it was one of those "had to see it" moments. That team is one of my all time favorite laker squads. As Lamar said like rock stars.......ah the good ol' days.

Mee's thinks he thought about the fall for second just before he released the ball.. , would have been all timer yeah. IMO

Really? we have been hearing nobody wanted to play with Kobe.

Back to the thread, I think Phil Jackson was not very happy with the dunk attempt. It was way too dangerous and could be a disaster for Shannon.
The game was won. No need to do something risky like that when you know you would be needed a lot.
IMHO.

Exactly.

It was well after the Lakers had caught up in the 4th quarter and the game was still in the balance. In the end he sunk the free throws so it was a good possession but it would have been a legendary moment for him to connect on that play in a game 7 finals situation with the game on the line... Especially with the type of shooting night he was having.

I'm pretty sure Staples Center would have exploded and that clip would be Kobe's Immortal "Finals Moment".... It's hard to believe that Kobe doesn't have a singular moment like that.
