Tarik Black is a really good all around player. For the price he's better than Ed Davis.

watched Russell for the first time.....

His passing is good as advertised.

but....i'm worried about his athleticism though...

he doesn't seem nearly as crafty as Manu or Brandon Roy who he has been compared too though....

he wasn't really able to attack the rim or attack the pick and roll....

Anyway, fine Summer League game for a first.

The best player out there was Clarkson, the guy who played an NBA season.

Randle was rusty after a year off from competitive basketball, starting to shake it off late in the game and has retained his speed. Russell looks about how I expected his first summer league game to go. Upshaw looked rusty till he got mad.

Overall, there's work to do, but nothing to panic about.

I thought Clarkson played well and I like what I saw from Upshaw on the defensive end of the floor. Those were the two biggest positives. I thought Randle was rusty and Russell was alright in my opinion.
