Any chance you think these guys would come here for cheap to get one legitimate chance to win a title?

Hehehe.
Only if they accept under 5M each, which is unlikely.

Probably unlikely wade and rondo take less than $5, but pierce was a diehard laker fan so perhaps he would love the chance to win a ring in LA with Kobe. Wouldn't that be a sight, two legends winning and retiring together

Yea. Rondo can definitely be like the glove and come here, be a horrible fit, and fail to win a ring.

Thought this was a deuce thread before I looked at the OP name.

1) We didn't win a chip with that team and it had a short peak.
So that team isn't an ideal goal to strive for.

2) Who's the prime Kobe and Shaq in that equation? Kobe now and ...Randle or Okafor?

I'm sorry but we'd first need a prime shaq and Kobe.

We could split 23 million three ways and give them $7.5M each

So wade is unhappy with what 14m now and he will take half that? I know he had a break baby but he's not that stupid.

Couple issues with the premise.

1. We aren't winning a title next year, or anytime soon.
2. Rondo isn't good at basketball.
3. Wade can't stay healthy.
4. Seriously. (bleep) Paul Pierce.

5. The Lakers last attempt at a quick grab at a title failed miserably when Nash/Howard didn't pan out. They won't be doing that kind of thing again for awhile.

Why would they come here to ring chase and not the Cavs/Spurs/Warriors/etc?

Why would we even want to spend significant money on those guys while rebuilding?

i'm sorry, i don't understand why OP created this thread. Mailman and GP came here in '04 to chase a ring because that Laker team had prime Shaq and Kobe. who do we have here right now that's worthy for ring chasers? a finished Kobe? no. 2 pick? Jordan Clarkson? Julius Randle? just a ridiculous thread imo

Those guys joined Shaq, PJ and entering his prime Kobe.
These guys would be joining 14 min played in the NBA Randle, B Scott, and thrice injured Kobe. Oh and I hate with a passion all three of those guys.

Sad thing is that Kobe today is actually the Mailman/Payton when they joined us.

Even though he "stinks of Celtic" Pierce would be a great "bridge" until we can get a small forward (unrestricted - Butler, in 2016 or draft - play with or behind Pierce this season.)
