Orlando: #6
Kings: #2 and Vucevic
Lakers: Cousins
I don't really see this trade going down though.

The F is that?
Magic loses Vucevic and goes down from 5 to 6 in the process? |

If we're going after Cousins, we wouldn't go after Okafor anyhow... so it would make sense to trade down. My guess is we'd drop down to 5 and then sign whoever falls there.... Mudiay, Russell or maybe even Winslow.
Cousins + a young wing player wouldn't be so bad. Better than to overpay for Rondo or Dragic. Cousins only makes 15.8, 16.9 and 18.1 in the next 3 years....
Send #2, #27, #34 and maybe future first rounder to make it happen. |

Where do you see them losing the 5th pick? |

I can see 3-team trade looking like this....
Orlando gets: Randle/6th pick
Kings get: Vucevic/2nd pick (Russell)
Lakers get: Cousins/Harris |

Lakers trying to "convince" the Kings? Yeah, I don't see this going anywhere. |

Cousins is a top 10 player and is only 24 years old making $16 million per yr which is not much considering the cap increase. Giving up only 1 asset to get him is well worth it. |

We can't afford Cousins and Harris under the cap. |

Mitch usually only makes a trade like this if the Lakers are clear winners... he knows the PR ramifications and he doesn't stretch it.
ESPN saying that the "Lakers are insisting" means that we're insisting on fleecing someone
I can't remember Mitch make a questionable high profile trade ever other than being forced to trade Shaq... he's not forced here. |

honestly... this is all so the sixers who really want Russell will trade picks with us
#2, #27 for #3 and our 1st round pick (2017) back... |

any deal involves the 2nd pick would be disappointing. we need young blood, either Russell or Okafor would be on rookie scale for 3 years while we use rest of our caps to lure FAs. not a Cousins fan at all, he's a head case and can't stay healthy. |

Vucevic is so much better than Cousins. Magic would be crazy. Its funny that Vucevic is also better than Dwight and the Magic got him in what was essentially a Dwight for Bynum trade.
I would to a three way trade with those two teams if we ended up with Vucevic
Thats what we do anyway, we let Orlando groom Vucevic for far too long, they're our development team anyway, especially for centers.

So how many clicks did Deuce give Stein? I was in Sac last week for 3 days and the sentiment there is that WCS would be drafted to allow Cousins to move to PF where he wants to be. Their plan is to build around Cousins, not trade him. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

As long as Randle stays, I'm totally cool with it.
A young core of Cousins/Randle/Clarkson is just fine by me. _________________ Everything. Changes.

Cousins is not a winner. He stuffs the stat sheet.
But he is over 30 years old. If he hasn't done it by now he never will. Might have 3 years left. And cost 20M a year. Durant, Lebron yes. But others will be a big mistake. Just like the Nash trade. Get nothing and give up the future. Lakers were lucky with Scott pick, but nothing in 2016 and 2018 for nothing gained. Don't make the same mistake more than a few times.
Okafor for Cousins would be a poor trade. The Lakers would be trading the future of their franchise.
Even Randle for Cousins would be a poor trade. His cost and possible future production must be considered.
The Lakers must consider the peaking of the team. The the need to create a great core of players who will peak together.
Like the Warriors, Spurs, did. |

Did you miss the part of the article that says that the Kings/Lakers/Magic have a dialogue to make this a possibility? |

Cousins is the only player id trade #2 for.
Getting Cousins leaves us with 8 mill left in FA plus LLE, #27, #34
For 8 we could sign Deng or someone similar..
COUSINS
RANDLE
DENG
KOBE / YOUNG
