I'm in the minority, but I would prefer a pure Laker and want to see Okafor be a Laker!

Cousins is the better player right now but because the Lakers are rebuilding rather than in "win it now" mode, I'd go with Okafor.

Cousins is without a doubt top 3 centers in the League.. Okafor hasnt even played an NBA game yet!

Cousins will never sniff the NBA Finals on a club.

I think the news blurb that there's Laker interest in Cousins is a feint, to signal that the #2 pick is available for the right player. I would very much hate to see Cousins in a Laker uniform. I think he is not a player capable of being a key element in a championship push. I think he's a lesser Darryl Dawkins.

I think the goal of the Laker organization must instead be today to accumulate the players more capable of working in a high performing team scenario, and to relegate Cousins to the "stats are nice but no thanks" pile of also-rans.

This poll is very misleading.

The real question is, DeMarcus Cousins or Okafor + max contract player (Goran Dragic, Danny Green, LaMarcus Aldridge, etc).

Because attaining Cousins means we lose our draft pick PLUS we lose our capspace. It's a double whammy!
