Kings, Lakers discussing 'framework' of DeMarcus Cousins trade, according to report

If the Lakers make this trade I'll be very disappointed and will lose all faith in our FO.

The Kings are hoping for a deal that includes Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson and the Lakers' No. 2 pick, Wojnarowski reports.

Sources: Kings talking to Lakers about DeMarcus Cousins trade, fielding offers from other teams

Quote:
Kings vice president of basketball operations Vlade Divac has pursued a possible deal that would include a bevvy of assets, including the Lakers' No. 2 pick in Thursday's NBA draft, rookies Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson and other draft assets, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Sacramento also would want to unload the remainder of forward Carl Landry's two years, $13.5 million contract, league sources said.

Don't do it Jim.

Totally agree, but how long until this gets merged into the ridiculous existing thread in the lounge?

I hope it doesn't. Ridiculous is a kind description.

Okay, so am I alone in the opinion that Cousins would be an anti-free agent magnet as his current reputation stands now?
I've never heard much positive about the guy until his production the last season or two. Even though Karl is a nutcase, anybody that productive a coach refuses to deal with doesn't look good to free agents in 2016.

His reputations precedes him. He was doing fine until the Kings decided to fire Michael Malone. IMO Karl came in wanting to trade Cousins. I don't blame DeMarcus for rebelling.

I like cousins but think the Kings want to much. I'm not a win now fan. I'm willing to build through the draft.

We have a good nucleus of good young talent. Giving up that nucleus, Clarkson, Randel, #2 draft pick and taking on Carl Landry's contract, would kill that build.

Patience is the keyword. Jim, Jeannie and Mitch IMO, need to exercise patience.

at that point the Lakers should hang up the phone and dont even listen to what the Kings say until they give a serious offer.

I wouldn't do it even if Sac agreed to a straight up trade for our No 2 pick.
Dude is a head case. No thanks.

24 yo all nba 2nd team player with 3 years left on his contract, if the demand isn't "bend over" then Sacramento aren't doing it right.

Vlade Dumbvac.

Max potential Randle > Cousins

Max potential Clarkson > Cousins

Max potential Russell >> Cousins

Three potential all-stars/superstars for one cancerous center who shoots below 50%. NO THANK YOU HAVE FUN WITH YOUR BOOGIE MONSTER SAC TOWN.

This would be like Minny trading Towns, Wiggins, and LaVine for 2012 Andrew Bynum.
