Also feel FO is far more likely to push for a big trade if we lose the pick. If we get Fultz/Ball, they might wanna evaluate the potential of this team with 4 Top 10 picks and Zubac on cheap deals. If we lose the pick, there will be more question marks and they might want to get a sure star.
If we lost the pick, we tank big time again.
Big Big Big Tank.
We get the number 1 and pick up a star so we are ready to go then.

If you have a 20 win team you have no right to draft for fit. Fultz is the best guard prospect since Derrick Rose. Ball isn't.
There's a reason why every team will have Fultz on top of their board come lottery time.
Kyrie was a much better prospect than Fultz
Disagree. Kyrie missed 80% of his freshman season for crying out loud and he didn't have Fultz' size, length, athleticism, or defensive upside.
I think Kyrie was a better prospect.
Seriously, who misses 80% of their games and goes #1?
In terms of shooting, quickness, speed, and ball-handling, it was in Kyrie's favor.
31points vs Michigan St.
Scoring season
I played pickup twice against Kyrie and had the unwelcome pleasure of having to check him while in grad school at Duke. I've never seen such a combination of insane handles and strength up close before. Kyrie's frame is such an under appreciated part of his toolkit - dude is built like a running back. He couldn't shoot a lick back then though, I was a better shooter than he was
You think he's having nightmares of some random grad student pulling Js in his face?

Please, no more...
We would naturally be in the top 5 if we came back with this same group.

Is there a "star" in next year's draft even if we win the Lottery?

Fultz is looking like the best guard since Kyrie and CP3.
Ball is also a great prospect with the intangible and rare quality to make everything around him better, leading NCAA in assists with the lowest usage I can remember from someone with his numbers.
I'd say it is a solid class because there are a few really good prospects from 3 to 5 that could have been selected before Ingram in last class.
He's a free agent after the 18-19 season. But what if you could trade for him a year early because the Warriors, will be be on the hook for 80 million alone with Curry/Durant/Draymond and they don't want to max Klay? Salary cap is projected at 109 and they will most likely be in repeater tax land.
If the Warriors also fail to win a title this year, they might reconsider their top-heavy roster and move a guy they don't have enough basketballs for anyway for some role players.

Obviously that's pipe, but man would I love to have Klay on this team. I'd take him over PG honestly.
I think if we wait until 2018 he's not coming. Neither is WB (200m+ extension). Boogie? Not sure about him with our young core.
If he doesn't want to come here, then trading for him would be pointless since he wouldn't sign an extension.
No. The point would be we would start building around him in 2017 with 20m+ cap space and youth. We would have his Bird rights in 2018 so we could offer a 5th year too. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

Only way that happens is if Klay hooks up with Curry's wife. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

The projected top three in 2018 could all be franchise players: DX 2018 Mock

I'd rather wait for him to sign with us honestly. He can join a young core that's a bit more seasoned, without having to give up key parts. Only way I trade for him is if Bird accepts a package of Randle/Clarkson/Hou 1st/Future 1st

From what i hear there are legit top 3 prospects that can be argued for top 5 in this draft.
Two centers one stud euro

Not sure he'd be convinced after spending a year with Deng/Moz lol. Still think best option is to sign 2 all stars in 2018 while using picks to get rid of dead weight and stretch one. _________________ Showtime 2.0

No more trading picks away especially when we're nowhere near ready to compete. Has the last 5 years not shown you anything?
Tank, hoard talent, wait for Mozgov Deng to expire then go after Anthony Davis in 2020.
