Laker Nation: Congrats to Mitch Kupchak, Jim and Jeannie Buss on drafting, who I think is a future superstar in D'Angelo Russell!
Damn, for everything I hear about Magic on this forum, I end up finding stuff that is completely against that narrative _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe

better defense, 38% three point shooting.

A cross over, please?
I'm pretty sure at this point, people just throw (bleep) on the wall and hope no one will notice when it comes to pointing out his flaws. I have no idea how many times people say he has no handles, no quickness, etc. when he had tons of impressive moves this past season. He roasted John Wall, a very good defender, several times, for example.

to be fair, he asked for him to get a plain vanilla crossover, not some fancy shmancy behind the back double crossover into inside out crossover into fadeaway jumper _________________ substance over style

Question for anyone who knows what they're talking about:
whose fault is this on the Wall backdoor? My initial reaction was that Russell just got burned, but then it became clear that he got screened which is what gave Wall the advantage. Brewer rotated over to stop the penetration, which seems like the right rotation. So it's Randle's fault for being too far in the paint (and not even attempting to get to the shooter in the corner til it was too late)?

I think Clarkson should have hedged to slow Wall down a little bit. Randle should have been better prepared to close out on the first pass, once it was clear that Brewer was rotating.

Ah right. Yeah that makes sense. I'm watching this highlight video and I can't help but notice how many of Wall's points/ assists are directly due to terrible off-ball defense from Clarkson.
