Sucks that he went from having another legit combo guard to Crabbe. Crabbe is a solid player but it puts Russell back in the same spot he was in before, a bit miscast.
Couple of travels, couple of bad catches from teammates. _________________ Showtime 2.0

Some of those missed passes were because D'Lo was trying to fit some passes into tight windows, though. But agreed.

I'm a USC fan, but it would be disingenuous if I posted Sam Darnold's touchdown numbers without mentioning his interceptions. Russell turned the ball over 8 times tonight. In a 5 point game, that's the difference between a win and a loss. As fans of Russell, it's important to mention the good and the bad.

Agreed. There are times he's a little sloppy with the ball. Still got the W though. _________________ Music is my medicine

1) Absolutely. But in DLO's case, he is still developing at the highest level and a developing team needs to deal with the mistakes because its the only way he'll shake them
2) Tonight is going to be epic!
Hawks and Magic are his next 2 games. Hopefully he can have some big games against them.
I hated the Van Exel trade. I hated this trade just as much.
Nick ran out his welcome at least a few more times than Russell, and I hate Russell and generally liked Nick (check avvy, that's from 97, he's hypnotizing AI and passing to Jerome "Wild Thang" Kersey for the score). I'll give it to Russ if we're comparing these two lads without the context of different eras/FOs/coaches, etc. And I have said this before. I never (and you can check) gave a DAMN about the phone thing although I personally thought it was beneath any 20 yr old guy. I've called it teen gurl stuff. However, I also realize that Millennials are a much different breed. Social media is a facet of their lives. I remember the scene in Sopranos where Tony saw AJ laffing on AIM with his friend and looking completely disgusted. I kinda feel that sort of antipathy for youngsters today and their soft worship of social media, though I fully realize that means I'm getting old. In that respect, Russ is no different than anyone else in his age group, boy or girl. That's why I never really used the phone thing as a point of criticism or as a reason he should go. I also am not a fan of "man code" rules and mores.
I didn't like his tude on court and off. He was immature. I thought LA might've been too much for him. I was concerned about his physical structure holding up to 75-82 gms a year. I didn't like his progressions and regressions as a player (though I feel the same for BI as of now). I didn't think he was a PG who was nearly as capable as Zo at creating good looks for teammates. Imo, he wasn't nearly the passer he was billed as during Draft time. I am of the opinion that he probably will improve as a player with a clean slate and with the Nets no less. That team has no expectations at all. He's in a much safer environment there. However, would he have the chance to grow here while contending with Zo? Would've been more difficult, imo. Diminishing returns and a Magic/Norm situation with two kids who are far from their collective maturity levels. Magic was ABLE to thrive in that situation for 4 years. A dual PG situation like theirs is almost unheard of as a successful scheme, at least not as successful as they were.
As far as Nick was concerned, totally different personality. He would've straight knocked D'Lo out for that infraction and he's done it to a teammate before in junior college. Nick was too streetwise for his own good against a coach like Delbert who was around with the dinosaurs. All of Nick's pushback against an authority figure such as Del is well-chronicled. However, it was more egregious and less forgivable than any of D'Lo's faults. Now, that said, we're 19 years away from Nick's trade in a different era without Dr. Buss and West here. What one FO is willing to accept is not what another one may/might. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!
Moz is done. Too soft and a weak finisher. Jarrett Allen looks really impressive. Seems like they have their starting center for the next decade.Very agile and good defensive upside. Kenny should bench Moz and play the rook. _________________ Showtime 2.0

You must have missed the previous two pages where people talked about his turnovers.
Watching these games back to back last night made me think about how we could be rolling out lineups of Ball, Russell, Kuzma, Ingram, Randle/Nance, and how fun that would be to watch. May have to do this on 2K.
