No. Nets are playing the long game with DLO. There's a reason they ate Moz's contract and gave up Brook/1st. They are high on him and aren't taking this in a one season vacuum. Lavert is a fine bench player.
I agree, they weren't thinking in terms of immediate returns on Russel. He's their best prospect (I like Allen a lot too actually). The challenge with DLO is that this year has been something of a wash and he's extension eligible this summer. If they wait he's an expiring going into restricted free agency at the same time Lin and Dinwiddie are in contract years.
As we've seen with Randle, when you have blue chippers in that situation it can get trickie. RHJ is also extension eligible and you kind of expect them to sign him to a deal which could further complicate team dynamics.
Yeah. But it's not like they're really putting together an instant championship roster. If anything, he's unlikely to get an early extension and he'll have to show some more consistency/durability. Lin being injured really derailed what was looking like a promising backcourt. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

This is remarkable. Emmanuel Mudiay has played just 193 minutes with the Knicks and they've been outscored by 87 points when he's on the court.

Crazy that Mudiay and Okafor were the consensus 1 and 2 in that draft class
Westbrook like athleticism...
next Tim Duncan
I thought Okafor would be very good but I hated Mudiay. Thought his shot looked terrible on the highlight videos I saw, and then when he literally didn't make a shot for minutes on end in a Laker workout (the reporters that were there were getting uncomfortable), that was a wrap for me LOL.

He’s really improved his handles to the point where you can’t set up on anything. He’s able to change directions and tempo and open up a shot whenever he wants. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Perfectly blended scoring and facilitating looking at HLs. I really hope he can stay healthy throughout next season and find the rhythm. Few players are as skilled as DLO. Just needs to stay consistent(and healthy) & start to mature with his decision making. _________________ Showtime 2.0
What he could be, isn't even a debate anymore. Its just translating what he did last night and making it the norm...which I think he'll do but I hope its for a better team and not a cellar dweller.
Yeah just like Lakers fans wanted to trade Lonzo, jules, BI. Every fan base has its share of IG aka Deuce who wants to trade everyone. I highly doubt the Nets are trading Dlo after taking in Moz’s deal. They like him. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
