With folks not frequenting the DLO P&M thread anymore, it's just hard to filter now. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Definitely bring in Miller in an MWP role next season, and let Huertas go back to Europe. Andre can help both DLo and JC (who is clearly missing Nash's mentorship this swason). |

Most def. With DLO trying to use that post up game, perfect mentor. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I'm all on board with this, but IF AND ONLY IF Byron is gone. Andre would be starting and playing 30+ minutes |

Miller was able to stay in the league for so long because of his willingness as a passer, craftiness, and ability to post up, despite not being the most explosive athlete. D'Angelo can relate and learn a few tricks from him, even though Russell is quicker than Miller was. |

And DLO can shoot and has at least 3 inches on Miller. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

DLO! I love what I am seeing. That Kobe inspired footwork is great. So even though the Parking Brake has been awful for DLO, at least he is getting to learn some skills from Kobe. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

It's kind of interesting. If the league wasn't so predicated on three point shooting, Miller would still be very effective today. He'd still be schooling youngsters with his post game. He's the "Okafor" of point-guards if you will. |

We've found the perfect comparison. DLo = bigger, faster Andre Miller with a jumpshot. |

But Miller's game was predicated on the fact he had no jumper. DLO's game is predicated heavily on his ability to hit jumpers. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

What I really like about D'Angelo is that he'll often show us something different, be it three point shooting, floaters, finishing at the rim or post ups. It'll just be a matter of working on his body a bit and putting it all together. |

I really wanted to see him develop a floater while he was in the summer league and he's definitely put it up on display. We've definitely seen the full arsenal from D'Angelo offensively. |

He's such a big kid (though he still looks like a teenager). The first time I saw him live, I was astounded at just his sheer size. Once he fills that out, damn. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I was just making a lame, tongue-in-cheek callback to all of the silly DLo comparisons from the beginning of the season (a slightly quicker Derek Fisher, etc). |

What I like is that he's finally developing different gears when attacking the rim. It's not always about the first step (since it's not the fastest to begin with). But head fakes, misdirection, using his large frame against smaller PGs, etc. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Weren't there reports that Miller was a divisive presence (players v coaches) in the locker room? If so, we need him this season. _________________ We back. |

I saw an article a while back, it was from Larry Lewis, talking specifically about D'Angelo, and it seems like the plan with his body is that they're emphasizing strengthening his legs and Lewis goes over game film with D'Angelo. I know that we always complain about the coaching staff being negligent/they don't know what they're doing, but it seems like they're doing the right things with Russell. |
