Quite frankly I am heart broken. Cant believe we would pass on Okafor but I have no choice but to get behind the pick as a Lakers fan.

I believe the pick will haunt LA for 20 years but willing to give the kid a chance. So lets do an official LG poll.

I'm voting NO. Not happy with the pick but best of luck to our new Laker. And screw you Mitch/Jim haha - guards are easier to find then post bigs

I wasn't at the workouts. I didn't study the film.

I trust the Laks did their homework and made the correct choice.

Honestly, I'm sad we couldn't get Okafor, but we're blessed to keep the pick and let's just get back to a winning culture with our new Rook.

Hell yes. Would have been fine with Oak too. But now I'm just excited to see what D'Angelo's vision can do for us.

Really hoped to land Okafor, but it's all over now. In full support of Russell. Here's to a successful 15/16 season

I love it. I didn't think Jim had the stones to do it. Kudos.

If his entire staff is telling him Russell he would have been killed by the rest of the Buss family if he went with Okafor.

Been on the Okafor bandwagon for months. Disappointed we didn't get him. I like Russell though, so at least we didn't pick anyone else. Can't wait to watch him play on our squad.

Nope. Nothing against Russell, but passing on Okafor was a huge mistake by the FO. Oh well, wouldn't be their first (bleep) up.

I hoped for Okafor but I have to trust tHat Mitch made the right choice for reasons we're not aware of.

I'm allowing myself to think about how unstoppable I expect the 3 young guys
To be. I trust there's something else planned such as when they traded Vlade for Kobe. I'll suck it up and be patient and now hope they draft a center like Robert Upshaw.

Okafor seemed to have a bigger upside.
