Sucks for him. He's been real key to our solid defense. |

It's gonna be tough to consider apart of the future when he gets hurt all the time. |

So that will keep him out of games? Definitely a difference between basketball and football players. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

It would be hilarious to see an NBA player with one hand wrapped up like a club. A bit hard to catch passes that way. |

Lakers clarify Nance injury. Not a broken thumb. Broken second metacarpal — essentially a broken hand. |

Nance could probably play close to 100% with a broken hand since he doesn't really have a lot of touch anyway. If he does have some time off I think some people here will gain a lot more appreciation for the things they'll miss without him. |

Sucks. He was looking decent as a starter, playing some good D and rebounding the ball. Hopefully he heals quickly. |

Nance does the heavy lifting, the dirty work and makes the hustle plays. He will be missed but we have other capable guys. PF is one of our deeper positions.
Hopefully he wont be out long. |

As a backup PF? I think he'd be fine, since foot speed would be less of an issue and he'll be going against backups. That's probably the right move actually. |

Yea, he couldn't even open his Gatorade right. He had to use one hand. |

If Kuz starts and Randle is the 2nd string C, then Deng kinda makes sense. He can (used to) be a relatively good shooter and plays solid D. His lack of speed probably wouldn't hurt the 2nd string as much.
The other option is to play Bogut (or Zu) more at the backup C, and play Kuz/Randle at PF. However, I doubt we see that - that's a lot of non floor spacers on the 2nd string then.
it makes more sense to move Kuz to 1st string, where his shooting can space the floor for Lopez/BI/Ball. Keep Randle where he's been really effective, and play Deng at backup PF _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

Nance broke his thumb. So yeah, that's going to keep him out a few games. Unlike the majority of football players, basketball players constantly have the ball in their hand (dribbling, passing, shooting). I'm not seeing any quarterbacks with a broken thumb on their throwing hand launching touchdowns. If you have any examples from the color TV era, please feel free to share. |
