Better than MWP for sure.
I'd like to see Black replacing Roy. |

Is there time to win enough to loose some ping pong balls?
I think a good lineup can help us to win a few games, but not enough to ruin the tank.
Scott is really creative with terrible lineups and six minutes of Huertas, Lou, MVP, Kelly and Bass can keep the tank going while we develop our young players not just individually, but also as a cohesive unit to play moving forward. |

The Lakers need to go 5-8 to end the season to even tie the Nets or Suns, assuming those teams lose out.
Are people actually concerned this team will go 5-8? |

then you have too much faith in this team's ability to win right now.
These lineup changes aren't going to make such a difference that it determines our wins and losses, but what it does do is make our lineups much more effective, flow better, and allow guys to work on the right things.
It however is not going to make us a 10-15 ppg better team and a 10-15 better defensive team. That's kind of progress long gone by now at this point in this season.
So right now it's about just making our team more effective and actually being competitive instead of the game being over by the start of the 4th. |

I think starting Nick Young makes more sense but Byron is our coach |

Does this mean Kobe doesn't start anymore this season, or does one of Russell or Clarkson go to the bench? |

Nance would only start at SF when Kobe can't play. |

Hopefully he starts tomorrow. I'm itching to see if we start slow with him and Russell in the starting line up. |

"I was responsible for half of Lou and Marcelos TO's. The Ball hit me in the hands and I didnt catch it"
How can you not love this guy? |

Nice game as almost always.
I think his activity defending the perimeter was the responsible for Roy coming back to life.
Love his game, such a perfect role player going forward. |

Nance post game interview, not falling for John Ireland shenanigans;

Not taking that John Ireland bait... |
What happened? |
Quote: | John Ireland Q: A lot of drama off the court that was addressed before the game. What's the locker room like and do you think that whatever it is, is it fixable?
LNJr A: What the locker room is like stays in the locker room. That's not mine to discuss.
Ireland Q: and do you think that's going to be the mentality now? To get through this as a group?
LNJr A: Yeah...I mean...we're a team. This is a team issue and should be handled as such. |

Thanks TD!
For what it's worth, 2-3 years might not seem like much but just considering myself fresh out of college versus my sophomore year in college and I was light years ahead in terms of maturity. Nance has a good head on him. |

He couldn't buy a jumpshot last night. The Heat announcers mentioned he was practicing 300-500 threes a day. |

Yeah, it's a bit disappointing. His set shot looked promising for a stretch of games earlier in the season. Hoping that it'll be a solid part of his game starting next year. It kills me whenever I see him hesitate to shoot the open J. |

I think a better alternative would be to have a 3 man big rotation at the PF and center position like we had during the Kobe title teams. Lance could eek out about 30 minutes off the bench in the Lamar Odom role. |
Pau (F/C) is what made that work. If Nance is Odom, Randle would have to be our F/C. He's a tweener in the wrong direction for that. |
Agreed, we would need one more bigman for the rotation to work out, but I am assuming we will either draft one or pick up a FA in the offseason. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

I've been tooting this kid's horn from draft day. I liked the pick from the jump because of his paternal stock. Then I looked at film, did some reading, and quickly became a fan.
Here's my prediction: The LNJr we see now is not the Nance we'll see when we have a coach and system suited to his strengths. Barring health issues, he will thrive when there is coach, system, and the better players we'll inevitably acquire. |
