Hopefully he gets to stay down there for a few more games. I don't see him getting minutes as-is.. but if he continues to put up some good numbers and play well.. he might force his way to some minutes.
He is supposed to be back with the Lakers for the Friday game against Toronto. Played 32 minutes tonight.

that actually makes me more interested to watch his highlights. 22 points on only 3 3s, wanna see what else in his game was succeeding

Hopefully he benefits from the D-League experience like JC did. In the preseason, he was our best perimeter defender. I think his stint will allow him to play in game like conditions and play against new players, rather than just practicing against the same players every day.
Oh, for sure. I know he took a player to the post a few times. I think one time lead to free throws.
He looked good out there for the few minutes I watched. Definitely didn't look "invisible" out there.
Didn't catch the entire game. I'll probably re-watch it eventually.
If he's going to be in the d-league for a few games I'm definitely going to be catching them. Anthony Brown really, really intrigues me.
Ya I like him too. When I watched 5mins of the Defenders game, he dribbled the ball out of bounds once - but he's actually somewhat competent off the dribble, so I'm hoping he hones that skill down there. Also I'm pretty confident he's a pure shooter, since the summer league I noticed that even every miss looks good. He made his first two 3pt attempts tonight
He has natural defensive instincts too, guarding the ball/dribble moves. He could have quicker feet on D, but that can be improved some

IMO he's definitely an NBA player. Pretty stroke, good instincts, and plays within the team concept (and can fit any system).
One thing we've really never had since Fox, Horry, and Rice are 3 and D players. Ariza ro a certain extent but his shot has evolved since then. Hopefully we can develop Ant into a quality and reliable bench shooter.
AB just needs more experience, he's got a chance to be a decent NBA player. The D-League will help him out a lot just like it helped develop Clarkson last season.
Good news that Brown will get some game time with D-Fenders this season, he isn't getting much playing time with the Lakers at the moment. Playing in the D-League helped the likes of Clarkson and Black, let's hope it helps Brown as well.

Pulling for this kid he played AAU with my step son and went to my HS (I graduated years before he was there). _________________ “What is 17,505”

thanks mang. he looks good! looks very solid off the dribble too. really liked the off the dribble J, and then the crossover/drive and finish
He looks so much bigger playing in the D-League.
Right? This one one of the first things I noticed.
His size as a perimeter player is not what you normally see in the D-League, as most guys who can actually shoot and dribble at that size have jobs upstairs. There were times when he looked like a man among boys, despite being one of the youngest players on the court. _________________ You are either in or on your way to the NBA Finals.

Not bad though. Not bad at all.

I hope this stint in the D-league is a prelude to Brown actually getting some run with the big boys. Still believe he and Nance and Russell can be a nice fit with each other.

Role players that know they're role players goes a long way to team success. Which is precisely why Nance fits in so well. AB needs to develop but, IMHO, would fit in very nicely with most lineups. _________________ We back.

3-10 isn't really anything to be concerned about. It's such a small sample size and one more make would have turned his ho-hum 30% into an elite 40% from 3.

Listening to Byron, I actually think it's that dunderhead that's having Lou "go to work".
He thinks he's got a Chris Paul/Kidd out there.
"Well, he puts them up, ergo he has fire. Russell passes, thus he doesn't have fire".
I agree, I think Lou envisioned playing about 10 minutes per half and putting up 4-5 shots per half. If he had planned on being a backup PG I think he would have asked for more money. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
