Love this pick. 3 & D is needed off the bench. Bench scoring and defense is key to winning games. We are building a run and gun team. _________________ 17 on the horizon.
Amazing how much shooting LA has been able to collect. Brown and Russell were top 5 from 3pt range @ ncaa amomg top 100 w/ 3+ attempts per game. Have guys already on the roster who can shoot. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night.

He'll get to back up durant

The Lakers sure could use a shooter at SF. I know he is not super athletic but he is long and has a brain. Hopefully a big upgrade over Wesley.
I wonder if Brown could play some big shooting guard too?
I wonder if there will be a space on the Lakers bench for Wesley Johnson? Maybe he wouldn't be so bad as a 2nd or 3rd string SF.
Who would you rather keep, Wes Johnson or Ryan Kelly as the Lakers last guy on the bench?
Ryan Kelly already has a guaranteed year left on his deal so he's not goin anywhere. Wesley is long gone, we just drafted 2 more forwards to go along with adding Randle already and are probably moving Kobe to SF also. _________________ You are either in or on your way to the NBA Finals.
Mitch Kupchak calls Anthony Brown “one of the better shooters in the draft”
Quote:
Kupchak fell in love with Brown’s versatility and his 44.1 percent from three-point range in the past two seasons, leaving Kupchak to imagine great things on how that will translate on his own team.
“We consider him one of the better shooters in the draft,” Kupchak said of Brown. “We think he can play multiple positions with shooting guard, small forward and is versatile enough to bring the ball up the floor with some pressure.”
Nick name for Anthony Brown alert: AB3 as in Atom Bomb 3!!
Anthony Brown Is A Steal For The Los Angeles Lakers
Quote:
Brown has the potential to be a Trevor Ariza-like player — a player that can shoot the three and defend both wing spots.
The two also have similar body types. The only difference is that Ariza is a terrific defender, while Brown is inconsistent on that end.
Brown has the tools to be a good defender, he is long (6-foot-11 wingspan) and is a solid athlete.

Sounds like a perfect bench player. I didn't see much of him but watched some games at the end of the season when he was mentioned here. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
