seeing how there's basically zero chance we get gasol (well i suppose its a lil possible....)

if we don't sign jordan, we're pretty f'd (aldridge, love are not the answer i think)

jordan/sacre
randle/nance/black/kelly
kobe/young/brown
clarkson/brown
russell/buycks

how much money do we have left after that?

I'd rather have Marc if we are going after a FA Center.

Considering that they steered away from Centers with both the 27 and 34, they sure seem pretty confident about some center they have their eyes on. Jordan makes the most sense imo. He probally looks at his role on a Lakers squad as more akin to his stint when Grifin went down with injury. The Lakers provide him with more of an individual opportunity to shine because of he'd have a more central role.

Russell, Clarkson
Kobe , Jabari, Ellington
Young , Wes , Nance
Randle , Black , Kelly
D'Andre , Davis, Sacre

Not sold on Deandre, because of his SERIOUS deficiencies on the offensive side of the court. Not saying it couldn't work, just have serious doubts and wouldn't be my first choice.

Rumors are that he will talk to the Lakers, at this point that is all you can ask. But if we don't get him, we can shoot for Robin Lopez or maybe Kostas Koufos. I don't think Memphis would match an offer for him, they will be concentrating on Marc.

I like DJ because what he does he does well (rebound, block shots, slam dunk, def anchor).

And he'll give you 12 PPG on this team.

I don't mind that he doesn't have an offensive arsenal because his FG% is ridiculous. What he knows he does it well.

This might sound crazy but, its possible although pure pipe, we could trade and get pau, then sign Marc.

He's only 26 years old, just entering his prime. He's a perfect fit next to the more offensive minded Randle. And we would be weakening the Clippers at the same time, killing two birds with one stone. Would be a great move, but I would also be very happy with LaMarcus Aldridge obviously.

DeAndre averaged 14.9 ppg and 18.4 rpg when Blake missed 15 games with an injury.

Me too but what are the chances Marc wants to be a Laker?

If we strike out on Aldridge, this will probably be the way too go. Lopez, Koufos, and potentially trading for Hibbert.

I like Russell but how depressing to go from Okafor to the likes of Robin Lopez and Koufus...

Exactly. The best thing about DJ is that you can max him knowing that the last years of that max contract he'll still be a stud and worth every penny. I would be overjoyed to score LA, but with Aldridge I don't have the confidence he'll be worth max money at that age.

The deal with LMA is that like Love, he's not a Center and he wants to go to a team with a good Center.

I had thought that getting Okafor would provide that for LMA.

So it's a little puzzling to hear that the front office' confidence in signing LMA led them to pick Russell over Okafor....when they really should have picked Okafor.
