GAME TIME!

It will be interesting to see how they do tonight based on the roll they are on.

Pens tie it with a minute left and the Kings come up big in the SO. Win streak continues!

These guys are doing so great. It's night and day from last year. I'm just hoping they don't burn this stuff out.

Team was definitely gassed tonight on the tail end of a B2B. I'll still take the point though. Just looked at the Pacific standings and Kings are stunningly 10 points up on Vancouver. They may actually win the division this year going into the playoffs.

Yeah, that first period made it clear that they were running on fumes, yet they still played it out well. There are only so many OT/SO games you are going to win in a row.

They are in great shape and looking good. Best part is they look like they are actually enjoying it - which is not something we really saw last season.

*knocks on wood* Still could use some depth but for now, this early in the season that they've been showing this much life is a good thing.

They definitely were coasting last season and didn't care where they finished, and it turned out that they didn't have enough at the end to even get in. This season they are absolutely playing like the regular season matters. Perhaps they will ease up a bit once a playoff spot is completely assured. But they look good.

I would love to see another Kings vs. Blackhawks Western Conference Final. The rubber match!

Kings are 7-2 in OT/SO this year compared to last year's OT/SO record of 3-15.

Can't wait to go to the game on Saturday @ Toronto. Man are seats expensive here..you want to sit lower bowl you're looking at $500 USD for a pair of tickets.

Hoping for a good ol whooping. Last year the Kings lost here in shootout and on my way out of the arena drunk Leaf fans cornered me and my girlfriend because of our Kings gear. Stay classy Toronto...

Just mention 1967 and watch them curl up in a ball.

Quick was pure magic tonight. Team was asleep for majority of the game and he just went into complete beast mode with that shutout. Huge bounceback win.

Yeah this is a good sign. Team might be a little bit weary on the road (they recently played 5 games in 7 days), they get severely out-shot (which rarely happens to the Kings), yet they find a way to pull out a good win against a solid team on the road.

I don't know if the Kings are going to make another deep Cup run, but I have a good feeling about the team this season. Just really like what I'm seeing.

After last year, I'm fine with just get in, stay healthy, and then steamroll the competition in the postseason.

If they were good teams, I'd say otherwise, but Holy Lombardi, that is a jinx.

Good bounceback from the devastating loss to the Guppies. Still giving up more goals than I want to see.

Damn, they cleaned it up tonight. Just absolutely no lube 5-0 bendover on the Nucks.

JQ ties shutout record for American goaltenders.
Toffs with the hatty.
Kopitar with 4 assists.

boing.

Picked up Toffoli in fantasy yesterday after someone dropped him during his mini-slump. Cha-ching.

Kings traded for Vinny LeCavalier and Luke Schenn, giving up Weal and a 3rd rounder. A good low risk potential high reward move by the Kings. Schenn is a free agent after this season and Vinny will retire. Hopefully Vinny still has something left in the tank as a third or fourth line center. Schenn will replace Greene, who's out for the season and should just retire. Kings' penalty killing has been awful the last few weeks despite still being ranked high. Schenn should help out physically on the defensive end. A little disappointed in Forbort not stepping into the role.

And in other Kings-related news, Mike Richards joins Justin Williams in Washington, probably the only true threat out East.

Great win against the Leafs last night. High energy. Solid D. Nice statement after getting blown out by them in December.
