His habit of drawing out his free agency is pretty obnoxious. |

He'll draw it out for days and then finally "decide" on re-signing with the Cavs. He craves the attention. (bleep) you, Lebron. |

Well for the past 5 years that's been an undisputed fact.
The last LeBron-free Finals was when the Lakers won their last title in 2010. |

I think he just wants to make sure that Gilbert pays up and brings most of the guys back. _________________ "Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships."

In some crazy sick way, I'd support his decision to leave Cleveland. (bleep) Dan Gilbert. |

Pretty much my sentiment for the finals too.
I don't care if LeBron wins a title.
I just don't want Comic Sans to EVER win one. |

Makes sense to wait and see how the organization is going to treat, sign, players who he thinks he can win with.
I bet Carmelo Anthony wishes he'd waited. Phil did him with no grease. First round draft pick a three year project, that had to hurt. SMH _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

And he's 2-3 in those 5 years, which means in 3 of those 5 years he would have not made the finals if his team were in the West.
Yeah, he can take any team to the finals. In the historically weak eastern conference. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts! |

He can probably be a good bench player. Melo should be more worried about free agency than the draft. WCS and Okafor were probably the only players in the lotto that would have even helped that team out immediately. Meanwhile there are guys like Gasol, DeAndre, and Aldridge in free agency. He needs to get his recruiting shoes on. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts! |

This particular year he doesn't have leverage. His "note" to his home town was made too much of that he cannot risk leaving. Cavs have him by the balls. |

Oh let him pout. Lebron is just a misunderstood, passive-aggressive child. |

He's applying pressure to make sure that they re-sign Tristan and even JR. Cavs FO wants to re-sign Love and not sure on Tristan and JR.
Lebron made it clear he wants Tristan in particular back for how well he played in Love's absence.
Cavs have an owner who isn't exactly Dr Buss or Mike Arison. |

so does that mean we have a better shot of making the finals if we sign Lebron?
by the way, I think the "wait and see" approach means waiting and seeing Blatt get fired before resigning. _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. LeBron made a good move for the ream. Gilbert has to do something to keep him. That means signing good players to make a run again next season.
James has the leverage of the city. He came home took the team to the finals and has a good change to do it again.
He'll opt in. That contracts him for another year. He's keeping all avenues open. Hate if you will, it's a good move. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

He's going to do it this year too. Next year he can sign a massive, long term deal. It also gives him the appearance of leverage, but he doesn't actually have any. |
