Honestly, I think I'd rather have Upshaw as my backup C sight unseen. Sacre's upside just seems so... limited.

That said, there is value in having a 2nd/3rd string player who has no problems not getting PT.

Gotta love unreasonable Laker fans. Less than one million for anyone whom if needed could give you a few decent minutes in a game... is not bad.

Also I know you all are sick of seeing him get major minutes. I promise you, the lakers won't be stealth tanking next season. So you'll just see him in blow outs and in "inside Lakers" episodes.

I hope he's not our backup C and is just our 3rd big off the bench. Tarik Black should continue to be the backup even though he's undersized.

I think what some of us are reacting to, is that Sacre is potentially the only realistic big man signing this off season. Maybe Upshaw if he comes through.

Sacre leading the center position, with Upshaw backing him up is a worrying proposition.

I think his contract is starting to get expensive for a 3rd string center. You have to start to look for long term upside and Sacre clearly has none. On a playoff team, he shouldn't get any minutes. It's better to hit reset and go with a youngster with potential.
