I voiced my opinion from the get-go that I wasn't thrilled with this signing, but I don't fault the Lakers for doing it because they optimistically thought that they would be competitive. But as mentioned, guys like Lou, Jamaal Crawford, JR Smith.. they are only valuable on good teams, but when they're the bread and butter of bad teams, it just doesn't work. They are just too inefficient. Kobe is actually becoming just like them now at the end of his career. That is why we are so bad. We have three of these guys... Lou, Nick and Kobe.

To Nick's credit he did have 3 assists last game which is probably more than he had all of last year.

I want sweet Lou to stay on the team for the next two seasons. 7 million a year is a steal.

I loved the way he played facilitator at the beginning, it was pretty much all iso until he took over and tied for the lead in assists.

He's taking important minutes away from clarkson and Russell and costing us a top pick. Who cares If he's on a good deal.

He isn't taking any minutes from Clarkson and Russell, that is just something that fans say but has no meaning. And the idea is to win games, he helps in that pursuit.

Good game by sweet Lou last night. I like Lou but he isn't very clutch.

I still think it was a decent signing. On a contender or playoff team, his contributions would be magnified. He's a great complimentary player Imo.

Yeah. Can't wait until he plays in his proper bench player role. Would be a really good 6th man. Oh wait.

Not as good as a starter. Sure, he can score, but seems he gets scored on at will too. Not really a ball mover either. So would love to see him get back to his intended role. I'm actually all in favor of keeping him now.

I like what Lou brings to the table. He is true 6th man and would serve this team well in that capacity because he is a dynamic scorer.

I hope the Lou as starter experiment was just motivational. He lacks the ability to play on both ends, though he can score.

He's the perfect #1 guard off the bench type of guy. His defense is definitely suspect but so is everyone on this team except MWP.

Right. But his mentality is that of a good 6th man. Score, score, score.

With the starters, I don't think we need that. Hopefully it's a matter of games b/f DLO is back at the starting guard spot and Lou kills off the bench.

There's nothing sweet about Lou's game. Watching him give up that 8 footer to Rondo of all people made me want to punch my tv. His drifting three pointer for the tie was no thing of beauty either. That is a really low percentage shot

As some have said, no way you get that kind of veteran scoring off the bench next year for cheaper than 7m.
