A top 20 first rounder would be nice.
The one thing this front office does well is drafting so getting a pick in that range or top 15 would be nice. It's not like Lou is irreplaceable, especially for a rebuilding team anyway.
Regardless, I think Lou will get traded soon. He will definitely field in some offers especially from contenders trying to upgrade their bench or teams looking to make a push for the playoffs. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

How deep is this year's draft? While Lou doesn't fit this current team, I'm hesitant to just give him up for pennies. In the right role (6th man off scorer off the bench) I think he can be a valuable piece on a good contract if we have a playoff team in a few years. |

Only way I'd trade Lou is if we could get a first round pick, and even then I'd be hesitant. I've been really liking what I've been seeing from Lou over these past few games. There's not many players you're going to get at a price of 7 million dollars that plays at Lou's caliber. |

A Laker has a 40-plus point game next to Kobe Bryant, which rarely happens
Quote: | Lakers legend Kobe Bryant has scored 40-plus points 134 times during his time with the Lakers. Not many guys have accomplished that while playing next to him.
Louis Williams joined the exclusive list Friday night after dropping 44 points on the Thunder. It’s actually the first addition to that list since Andrew Bynum scored 42 against the Clippers in January 2009. |

Meeks and Young had one or two 40+ games also, under MDA. |

It states that in the article but mentions that Kobe was sidelined at the time. |

Lou is fifth in the league @ 1.44pps (points per shot). The guys ahead of him are: Curry, D12, Deandre, Durant. |

Love him or hate him!
Sweet Lou came through in the clutch with some big shots/plays tonight.
19 points 8 rebounds
I would like to keep him around as a sixth man unless we can get a valuable asset for him. But I doubt if we could find the right scenario at this point. |

but those Drakes relied too much on pull-up jumpers and the floppy ref-baiting of Lou Williams -- junk that doesn't hold up against playoff defenses. They've shaved away five pull-up jumpers per game and replaced them with better stuff -- catch-and-shoot looks, free throws and about nine more drives to the basket, according to SportVU tracking data research. |

He's a real poster boy for efficiency with his flopping and 39% shooting but hey he managed to finally make a few shots and help us get a win. |

I would go as far as saying he's the best in the league. He will be in the Flop hall of fame for sure |

In fairness, he stops and starts and changes directions so well that he actually draws a ton of contact. |

Thing is, you don't see Lou flailing around after no contact. He rarely flails at all, just yoyos his guy and creates the contact and gets the shot up. |

If he were on another team it would frustrate the heck out of me. |

Me too, I don't see the flop. He's incredibly crafty in drawing the contact just at the right moment.
OT: I hope Russell picks that up from him. Russell already has a knack for split second passing... I wonder if he can translate that skill into split second contact, like Lou. _________________ “God knew they couldn’t be on this Earth without each other. Lou's shot motion/pocket is unique that it naturally comes from right to left, so when his man has a hand in the cookie jar, Lou can swing through starting his shooting motion and draw the foul, most players don't swing through there half as much cuz their shooting motions aren't like that.
Even when the defender is riding him on the move going left, he just starts his shot motion and you're in the way when you're on his right hip, and he loves to shoot drifting anyway so it's a natural shot for him.
He creates the contact but it's natural to him for his shot motion and shot attempts
https://vine.co/v/iWhDdjA6PeF see here's Lou's shot, see how it's kind of from the left side of his face. That's somewhat rare, most players shoot on the strong side or mid.
DLO actually does shoot almost similar to Lou tho. https://vine.co/v/eEWl5JQhPE3 when DLo dips the ball he does the sidewinder dip like Lou and brings it to the opposite side. So there's a chance he can pick it up. He doesn't dip the ball as often as Lou tho, and has been dipping less and raised the release - the vine is pre-season |
