I love Bass and would love to have him back but I also wouldn't mind having someone that can space the floor out to the 3 point line upfront like Leuer (would be the only big with 3 point range) _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though."

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Preferably, I'd like to have a stretch big like Leuer, Teletovic, or Leonard (dunno if he's realistic though), but if not, I'd welcome back Bass with open arms. |

I'm hopeful Nance can step into that Bass role next year _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

Lakers vote Brandon Bass “Teammate of the Year”
Quote: | teammates voted Brandon Bass as the “Teammate of the Year” Award winner for the Los Angeles Lakers, according to the NBA Player’s association. In a year in which the Lakers 17-65 record stood as the second-worst in the entire league, Bass (now with the Los Angeles Clippers) provided a solid veteran presence that helped keep the locker room from fracturing.
In addition to being one of the Lakers’ most helpful players on the court, with the team only being outscored by 2.6 points per 100 possessions during his minutes, Bass was also a mentor for the team’s younger players off of it. Following the season, Larry Nance, Jr. raved about Bass’ impact during an appearance on the Land O’ Lakers podcast with Andy and Brian Kamenetzky. |

Agreed on both. However I'm not surprised because the Clips always dumpster-dive the Lakers bin. |

FYI, most of the time when the Clippers get former Laker players, that player becomes even more trash... |

Wes Johnson & Jordan Farmar, among others, resemble that remark! |

Yep. When folks want to stay in that LA lifestyle but the Lakers can't/won't sign them for what they want... Enter the Paperclips... |

Wondered why he didn't go to the Warriors. David West looked done with the Spurs last year, so I'm guessing that Bass would be a better fit with the W's. I have no idea why they even gave him(West) minutes, other than him passing on millions to come there I guess. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. Not sure about his season in SA, but Bass's jumper was MIA last year. Maybe the Warriors preferred West as a Speights replacement for that reason? |
