I watched the Tottenham-Everton game with particular focus on Harry Kane. It was the perfect game to do that, as it turned out. For skeptics like me, this game was Exhibit A for why Kane is fool's gold. The Tottenham midfield dominated the game and repeatedly got the ball into good position for scoring opportunities. Yes, Howard made some saves that were reminiscent of the Belgium game at the World Cup, but it had been, say, Wayne Rooney or prime Didier Drogba on the end of those chances, it wouldn't have mattered.
I have nothing against Kane (or Tottenham, for that matter, though they amuse me). However, last year's hoopla made me suspicious about him. I guess this is the British football media in a nutshell -- build a guy up way too fast, then have fun burning him back down. I can see Kane being a consistent 12-15 goal scorer over the course of his career. That's really not bad, but he would be considered a failure.
Good weekend for Arsenal & Man City, getting wins and watching their competititors all slip up.
Loved watching Chelsea lose, my hatred of Jose is probably at an all time high, hoping this is the start of his 3rd season breakdown _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.
So apparently ManUtd are after Anthony Martial of Monaco. Not Premier League proven only 19 yo. Haven't watched much games on him to comment. Anyone want to enlighten me?
I've seen a bit of him, not a whole lot because to be honest he doesn't always start for Monaco. He looks quick, that's something that jumps out right away, he has nice acceleration with the ball and without.
Here's a video breakdown of him that someone had on their facebook earlier:
36m is a hell of a lot for a kid who hasn't really done much and doesn't appear to be a natural goalscorer. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.
I'd think the Martial signing makes Griezmann redundant. Not sure they'd buy both, although Griezmann is a dope player.
Think Utd did well to get a good sum of money for De Gea considering his contract, not sure why they'd bother with Navas though - to me he is a huge step down. De Gea is one of the best out there.
Praying Arsenal get some business done tomorrow, my day of work is gonna be pretty distracted _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

Navas has been a top 3 goalie in La Liga for at least 3 seasons. He is also the best goalie in this side of the world.
As long as Van Gaal is the manager of Manchester united, we're not going to win anything. Bad player acquisitions Indecisive playing style, and crooked vision. _________________ It's winnin' time!
I'm still not sure what happened, and I'm not sure that we will ever know. However, SAF must be dying inside today. With all of the transfers and drama, Man U looks like a circus.
Van Gaal is now on the spot even more than he was. If Man U slips up, the vultures will be circling. The De Gea mess may not be his fault, but he will be the fall guy. This is especially true because Man City looks poised to run away with the league. Yeah, I know it's early, but who in the EPL looks capable to competing with them? Man U and Arsenal have scored three goals of their own combined. It is not inconceivable that Chelsea could crash and burn this year. Liverpool looks fragile, and Tottenham looks like Tottenham.

Di Maria, Falcoa, Chicharito, De Gea, etc.
All fallouts with LVG. I think he is definitely the one to blame here If Man U burn.. not only that, but the RIDICULOUS Martial transfer.
Best part: Man U fans riding Man City fans for overpaying for players.. lmao that martial buy is worse than anyone purchase man city has made.

It doesn't bode well on LVG that he's fallen out with so many players now and in the past. Now with Di Maria and reportedly, Marcos Rojo allegedly having locker room issues, questions wil be raised about LVG's management. However questions have to be asked as to why the players are upset. Di Maria was in terrible form last season, losing the ball getting red-carded in the FA Cup draw last season. He wanted to move to PSG before they were hit with ffp sanctions like City, but he couldn't so he ended up with us. Rojo hasn't been getting enough playing time with Blind being the preferred CB so it's understandable that he's unsettled. Nothing more to be said about DeGea, but with Euros coming up it's in his and the team's best interests that he play, provided he signs an extension.
As far as the transfer fee for Martial is concerned, you have to look at the structure and add-ons. It's €30M upfront and €5M per year for four seasons. In total it's not that different to what we paid earlier this transfer window for Memphis. Now, as for the add-ons: €5M per year subject to the player winning the golden boot in the premiership and €10M if he wins the ballon d'or. So if I'm a ManUtd fan, I'll be praying that we pay the full €80M. _________________ Character Manchester United | Greatest European Moments Fabric of United - Our Belief
