I'm glad to see Kobe playing like he's playing. The Lakers are making this season a Kobe send off. He's having the time of his life. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Honestly don't even care that he didn't shoot well. I was in attendance and I loved seeing another vintage Mamba against the Spurs. Was a hell of a game. _________________ #CowboysNation

Kobe Bryant’s late-game heroics not enough in loss to Spurs

The Lakers still lost, a 106-102 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs ended a short-lived two-game winning streak. Bryant scored 25 points, albeit on 9-of-28 shooting. The Lakers (11-42) also made some youthful mistakes.

Glad you enjoyed it! I was at Staples in December for the first home game against the Rockets where Kobe dunked on Capela, and it's a moment I'm going to remember for a really long time.

Amazing video tribute. Probably the best of the year.
Yeah this one was really good. For me, the one in Philly was the best one overall, but that might have been because of the entire introduction that they gave him. Props to the Spurs for creating a great tribute.
it was an encouraging performance nonetheless from the Lakers, almost handing San Antonio their first home loss of the season. There were plenty of highlights from the Lakers, led by Kobe and the youngsters.

Great video tribute. Such great memories. Total class by Spurs. Setting the sports organization standard in aspects big and small.
Amazing video tribute. Probably the best of the year.
I'm really glad they featured two of Kobe's best (and most underrated) playoff moments, in my opinion:
Kobe's 45 and 10 vs the Twin Tower Spurs, 2001 WCFs (playoff opponent career high vs Spurs):
Kobe's Game-Winner vs Spurs, 2002 WCSFs:
(Also of note vs the Spurs, but not included in the tribute video, probably because they didn't happen in San Antonio):
Kobe's "Colorado" Game, 2004 WCSFs:
Kobe's Game-Winner vs Spurs, 2008 WCFs:
It seems like every Kobe career montage always features the more obvious moments: the 81 point game, buzzerbeater vs Suns, Alleyoop to Shaq. While those are great moments I hope and believe people will look back in hindsight at Kobe's playoff performances/moments vs the dynasty Spurs as some of the most legendary aspects of his career.

One of my favorite Kobe game winners is the one that got erased by the most (bleep) of shots: Duncan's shot with Shaq draped over him right before the shot that turned a 10 year old me into a raving Lakers madman, as opposed to a normal fan (Derek Fisher's 0.4 shot)
Kobe really owned the Spurs, huh? Really, really wish we could have seen Kobe go in as an underdog against the Spurs in 2013. I still think the Lakers would have gotten the upset if Kobe ( + the rest of their guard corps) was healthy. Games 1 & 2 were fairly close with Nash at 50%, and Blake and Meeks not injured. Imagine with a 100% Kobe.
Kobe Bryant once gave teenage LeBron James a pair of shoes
Quote:
in 2002, he apparently broke character long enough to hook up a teenage LeBron James with some sneaker swag.
Here’s James reminiscing about that moment ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Wednesday night matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers, courtesy of ESPN.com’s Dave McMenamin:
“I think my most fond moment is he gave me his shoes when I was in high school,” James said. “I think I was playing in a tournament in Teaneck, New Jersey, and they were playing in the [2002] All-Star game in Philly. And I had an opportunity to go meet him, and he gave me a pair of his shoes, and I actually wore them in a game against Oak Hill, against Melo [Carmelo Anthony], actually. So, six degrees of separation right there.”
