Not sure if this has been posted, but Laker hater/ Kobe hater Colin Cowherd is leaving ESPN.

Good news. His show occupies valuable time during my commute, and occupies resources available to ESPN which could not be put to worse use, imo.

Replacing him can only improve my morning sports radio experience.

Caught a few minutes this morning and he mentioned he had moved to Los Angeles.

Makes sense now. So if he's going to fox sports does that mean he comes before or after Dan Patrick's show?

It's no secret that The Mickey Mouse Outfit has told ESPN to cut costs, and is in the middle of selling off its Radio Disney stations

Yeah, probably not god to lump these two in the same sentence.

Why not? They're both vastly talented, underrated, champions, HOF'ers. They both thrive under pressure; actually just about the best under pressure in their respective sports, both play for marquee franchises, (only difference is Kobe at the end of his Career and BB is at his peak)

even, unfortunately both had similar legal problems as well,

Honestly I didn't even know Colin Cowherd was a Laker/Kobe hater. I haven't listened to him often. I just know him as the douche bag that bashed John Wall's character for dancing one time. He also bashed video games and gamers I believe.

I don't care where he ends up I would never listen to him in the future.

Interesting. I was surprised to hear the news, but in retrospect, it isn't so surprising. Colin was very supportive of Bill Simmons when he was dropped by ESPN and talked about how singular talents shouldn't be confined by the suits in big corporations. Colin was even complimentary of Dan Patrick, who has he hasn't always been on friendly terms with. I know that Colin views himself as a singularly talented radio talent, so at the time, I wondered why he hadn't jumped ship so that he could spread his wings.

At any rate, it looks like that time has come. It will be interesting to see where he ends up on Fox. Colin is a douche, and I don't like his Kobe and Laker bashing. However, I do find him interesting. It would be great if he could snatch the time slot occupied by PMS. Petros and Money are even bigger Laker haters, and although some may complain that Colin talks too much about the NFL, I'd rather listen to that than hear Petros and Money ramble about college football or any other non-sports related topic. Seriously, these guys fill their evening rush hour segments with too many non-sports related bits (how was your weekend, Bachelor report, song of the day, film fight, etc.). Plus, they arguably bigger douches than Colin.

This sucks. I happen to enjoy the Herd during my morning commute the past 5 years. He's really good on football talks and is quite funny if you listen to him daily. I know people don't like him here because he doesn't worship to Kobe and the lakers, but he's not wrong on most of the laker related talks.

god I hate him.

herd: here is my point

caller: this is why your point is wrong (actually makes a good point)

herd: *clicks on caller* thanks for your call *proceeds to go on some tangent on why caller was wrong, never address callers point.

GG HATE EM.

Kellerman is good. Just replace Marcellus with someone with at least half a brain. I like Kam brothers too.

Nope... at least not as it once was...

Quote:
Disney is forcing ESPN to cut $100 million from its budget next year and a staggering $250 million from its budget in 2017. The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that ESPN has lost 3.2 million subscribers in more than a year and that ESPN’s reach in U.S. households has fallen 7.2 percent since 2011.

Disney is making ESPN do some serious cost-cutting

You want to know who sounds even worse? Antonio Davis on NBA radio on Sirius XM. Davis is gawd awful and boring. A snore fest.

I've never heard Cowherd on the radio, but he always struck me as a waste of space in the live shows. He was a "personality" without much charisma or substance.
