He hasn't had the production he had last year, but all the more reason to buy low. According to ESPN insider, the Cavs are shopping him. We could REALLY use a decent shooter from behind the arc. He'd be a huge upgrade over Smush and Sasha. Any thoughts?

I dunno. He's really a one trick pony and seems like a bit of an arrogant punk. Doesn't play defense, doesn't really play point, doesn't rebound or steal the ball. I don't know how much cash he's making, but he'd be a nice shooter if he fits into the '07 plan. I'd take smush over him.

After this year 3 yrs/$12 mil. He's not worth it most likely. He will definitely get open looks with us however, and he doesn't have to be a true point guard w/ us. I'd pass.

seems like he cant make a shot this year, and if he cant do that he is completely useless. Plus he pulled a Shaq when asked about Kobe by answering "Who". Actually it would be fun in practice b/c Kobe would absolutely murder him.

What about a guy like Jason Terry instead? He could be our #2 scorer, can shoot the 3 and wouldn't have to be a true PG in our offense. He's a FA end of this year and with Devin Harris, likely Dallas won't want to keep him. Is he going to be too expensive for us?

Actually Jason Terry would be an excellent fit. He would not break the bank considering the fact that he fills a definite need and we'd be looking to spend money on a guard in the next two seasons anyway. He'd flex the '07 plan but would not break it. A 4 year deal at $5/per would probably be enough enticement for him if he were guaranteed the starting spot, otherwise he's likely to chase better money elsewhere. A developed Bynum/Kwame/Odom with a backcourt of Kobe and Terry would be competitve n the west next season even before the acquisition of a FA in '07. This would be a pickup I'd luv to see management go after with some vigor....

Damon Jones sucks.

He used to play for the Kings and was relegated to the end of the bench. When he'd come in games he'd basically just jack up threes.

With the heat he got a lot of open looks and as he is a streaky guy managed to make a few. Somehow he got a huge ego and began thinking he was all that.

This year he's back to sucking again (reality).

Personally I hope to see the "best shooter in the world" on a CBA team near you shortly.

He thinks he's better than he actually is. He got his fat contract because he played with Shaq last year.

Damon plays no defense. Basically another Chucky Atkins. Our defense sucks at times. We need a defensive minded guard.
