I hope he gets 25-30 min a game at least. Since we obviously aren't making the the finals, the kid needs all the opportunities he can get to learn and grow. He'll gain a lot from playing with Kobe. I hope Byron Scott doesn't pull a Dell Harris on him. |

He should get at around the same amount of burn as Clarkson did toward the end of the season. I'd like them both along with Julius to get at least 32 minutes per game with Bass and Williams playing around 20 minutes per game and Kobe 25-28 max. |

I think he'll get in the low 30s. But only because we don't have much in the way of viable backup options at the point. Clarkson may get some burn there so whether the Lakers see him as a 1 or 2 is going to impact Russell's minutes. |

I would guess less at the beginning of the season and more as the season progresses. Averaging 25-28 mpg for the season seems reasonable. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

34mpg. Wtf up with all the low projected minutes for this guy? He's just a kid, be could run all day. John Wall got 38 his rookie year, CP got 36, Kidd 34, Irving 33, Van Exel 33 and the list goes on and on? Why should it be any difference with this kid? |

Why? Because the Lakers break their rookies in slowly. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I think that's more circumstance than anything. We've also had rookies come in and play big minutes. _________________ "There's only 2 dudes better than me, and I'm BOTH OF THEM." |

I'd say Russell avg 32 mpg this year. He was the #2 pick and Clarkson is the only other PG on the roster. |

Well, 16
Let him earn his time, I hope he gets 30 by the end of the season not the start. Same with Julius

DR's season PT will swing as heavily on Kobe's health and durability as on the quality of his own play. Healthy Kobe = big drain on Russell's minutes. |

you can't compare him to a second round pick as far as minutes are concerned, he was a number two pick and in comparison Magic averaged 36 minutes a game his rookie year. |

26-28 mpg. I think in the beginning of the year, Lou Will gets a lot of PT with Clarkson while DLO gets stronger/learns the ropes.
By the all-star break, I'm hoping he gets closer to around 30mpg. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

As much as he earns!
If he is ready to start and contribute then he should. If he is overwhelmed, turning the ball over and not ready then he should play minimal mpg.
I expect him to look a lot better with the vets and a structured system. I am comfortable with letting training camp competition dictate his mpg.
He is nineteen. He has talent. He will get better as he learns how to be a pro and how to run an offense. I expect struggles and moments of brilliance as he learns. Rushing him in does nothing to his development if he is not ready. Let him earn his mpg. The opportunities will be there this season and the future.. He does not have to be "the Man" game one. |

He needs to be our starting PG from day 1, 30-35 min sounds right! He needs to be in the discussion for ROY. |
