I'm looking at the Lakers and wondering if the team is worse then last year? This is a really bad roster with lots of holes. If Kobe is still injured this is going to be a long season.

Is this a joke? Hibbert, Lou, bass, a more experienced clarkson and black, and DLO already make them better.

No. Health willing, I'd say we're about 12-14 wins better than last season.

Same guy that started that Kobe thread. He's obviously not the best poster. Should have his thread starting priviliges removed.

Terrible thread. There is no good analysis in the OP's post just negative interjection with no reason why.

It is odd that you would post this after assessing the team quite differently a cople weeks ago:

Over policed? Because some posters say it's a dumb thread?

Those players are nothing to get excited over. I've been on LG longer then most laker fans have watched games. Just because I think the team looks crappy doesn't mean I can't share my thoughts here.

The problem is if he shuts up and plays he will struggle with team defense. He should speak up in those situations. Other problem is his home is LA, so if he goes home he's still here.

Also Randle healthy.
Randle is overrated and a rookie this season.

PostPosted: Fri Jul 24, 2015 3:24 pm    Post subject: They keys are Hibbert, Bass, Randle and many others

When you completely revamp a team like this who knows? There are no starters returning. There will be a new starter at every position. there is zero continuity except Scott but I give him a mulligan. He got a bad hand in his first season.

Roy Hibbert is the big key. The biggest problem with the Lakers is defense.
the worse in the NBA. so if he can get them to the middle, maybe the shooting will make up for the rest. Without him the season is over.

Kobe health is second. He will be playing a new position. Would save him for the playoffs and just go for that 8th seed. But don't get him injured again. Say it again until you get it.
At the cost of a game, limit his minutes to 20 to 25. No more than 30.
I wish Bryan would read this. Nick Young is extremely valuable as a sub.

Bass is important to tutor Randle. They are similar players with Bass being old man but has a jumper. He has to teach Randle a jumper, and he will be an all star. But they will be playing him for a drive until he does.

Lou has to tutor clarkson. Not how to gun, but how to play in the NBA.

Russell has no one to tutor him. Unless they hire Nash. This is a problem.

If Upshaw can give 10 to 15 minutes, he will give quality minutes that Sacre cannot give in rim protection. Black cannot do it. He is not a rim protector.
He is a PF at best. There are too much PF and not enough SF and backup PG.

I don't know anything about bb but if I can see this I wonder what the FO sees. Are they high when they make their decisions?

JBrown may be ready. Young is ready.
Nance, Kelly, Sacre, ABrown, and the others are not.

So an injured Randle is better than a healthy one?

You're not asking whether the team is crappy. You're asking if they're better than last year and the answer to anyone knowledgeable about basketball is a resounding yes.

Edit: You're actually asking if they're worst but my post still applies. This team is much better than the team we had last year.
