The fact we have a greater number of core rotation players who aren't 1 year mercenaries will help. Look at our core rotation last year (expiring deals):

Lin-1 year
Ellington-1 year
Price-1 year
Hill-1 year
Boozer-1 year
Ed-1 year
Wes-1 year

I can't tell you how unenjoyable that team was due to the fact that so many of these guys would not be back.

This year:

DLO-rookie deal
Randle-rookie deal
Clarkson-we can match any deal in 2016
Nance-rookie deal
Brown-rookie deal
Lou-multi-year
Hibbert-1 year
Kobe-1 year
Bass-1 + 1 (2nd year player option)

We also have some other creators/shot makers to ease the burden off of Kobe. My hope is that we use Kobe in more off ball action this year; I do like the instances in when he facilitated last year...

I've been on this soapbox for 4 years and have finally come to accept it's never happening, certainly not in his farewell season. He's either a ball dominant pseudo PG, which messes with Russell's development, or a high volume inefficient shooter. Personally, I would prefer the latter.

Gotcha. We'll just have to see how it goes, man.
