Sorry. Just being real, give me a bottom dweller to help our conference. Sort of like when Duke plays the equivalent of Cal Tech in its first game.

Give me the um...76ers.

Sell it as DLO vs. Okafor.

Why?

Gimme a team we can realistically beat. That'll be a hit.

For a show like the NBA, opening day is a must hit. Do I need to explain further?

I bet Clips play Mavs. We get the Wolves.

Lakers / Wolves is a must hit?

You asked which team I want, not which team I think we'll play.

I want a team we can beat like the 76ers. What has to happen on opening night is irrelevant to me.

76ers, so we can finally say we have a record of above .500 for the first time since 2013. And then the next game starts...

Here we go, again...didn't you see I wanted the Clips but if they are after ratings(the NBA) they'll go match the Clips and Mavs.

Twolves and Lakers have 1 and 2 top drafts and those 2 rookies on a poll at NBA.com are the 2 top rookies people want to see play(Russell by a landslide).

I asked you your wants and you want to see the 76ers, I'm cool with that.

BTW, so what if we lose to the Clips?

The hoop fan in me wants to see our defensive big vs their defensive big.

0-1 is not the end of the world.

vs. Clippers would be a great 'welcome to the NBA' moment for our rookies and gives them a chance to get their feet wet early.

Russell having to deal with CP3
Randle dealing with Griffin
Hibbert dealing with Jordan as well as Blake

It would be a good first test and a good first game for us actually.

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE

Kobe vs Pierce at SF.

Lou Williams vs Stephenson for 6th man.

Wesley Johnson vs old team.

From a marketing angle, promoting a game to showcase "tomorrow's superstars" makes perfect sense. They (nba) can milk that at the beginning of the season before everyone remembers how horrible both franchise are and stop watching.

^ Dunno about that precisely but I'd be more excited to watch a horrible franchise that has Wiggins, LaVine and Towns than a Spurs team with West, Aldridge and Duncan.

Im with most everyone else... Give me a bottom-dweller or if not the Kings would suffice. Tired of us getting blown out on national TV for some super-teams' and their Kobe obbessed fans amusement.

I want to play the T'Wolves. Our young guns, against their young guns. We aren't ready to compete with the big boys yet, let them build some chemistry and confidence and maybe they will be ready to steal a few games from the contenders.

I really hope Kobe teaches our young guys how much the rivalry with the Celtics, Clipps, Spurs etc means. I want to see our guys come out and be extra focused for those match ups in the future. I don't want to see any of that buddy buddy **** that seems to be the trend with the young guys now. Go for the throat!

If we play the Clippers, this board is just going to bash DLo again. So cellar dweller it is!

I just want them to play an NBA team. That way I'll know for certain that we weren't relegated to a lower league, like they do in pro soccer.
