How about a D.Rose/M.Ellis hybrid? At least everyone gets some cake. |

Rose wasn't this good of a midrange shooter but they do play similar. Clarkson is automatic from midrange and finishes well at the rim. He has some of Rose, Westbrook, and Ellis to his game. The difference is he's bigger then those players which makes him just as dangerous, he can play both positions. |

He's definitely similar to Monta Ellis but has more length. I just hope Clarkson's defense improves and becomes better than Ellis' defense. Id be more than happy is Clarkson could be a career 19ppg on 46%FG like Monta has been.
He's nothing like Derrick Rose. |

those are some eerily close stats... |
Really positive when you consider that those are Clarkson's numbers over his entire rookie year, and they got better in the second half, vs. Ellis for his career. The fact that Clarkson is posting better numbers in the second half of his rookie year to the career numbers of a pretty good scoring combo guard comp for his career is very encouraging. |

in half yr of play Clarkson has made passes that Monta can only think of.
spending time with nash can only help clarkson. |
Gonna have to disagree with you there. Ellis is actually an underrated passer and Clarkson is surprisingly weak in the assists/court vision department. Given his ability to get by defenders, he should be able to get many more assists than he currently is doing. He may one day become a good passer but up til now I'm not sure he has the right mentality for it. |
Gonna have to disagree with your disagreement... Clarkson was ballin to the tune of back to back double doubles last year. He was creating for himself and others as well. The point he's got to come to is balancing his obvious scoring prowess, with keeping his team mates involved. I believe he'll get there. |
