Doubt he gets a max offer, maybe if we are able to move Lou we could sign DRoz, Whiteside and Parsons (at say 16-20).
I was sort of imagining this lineup in the future:
PG- Russell
SG- DRoz
SF- Parsons
PF- Simmons
C- Whiteside
That length would be something.
With a solid bench of JC/Randle/Nance
Just a thought.

This is the lineup I'm hoping for but I'd look to trade Randle if we got Simmons. I'm bringing back Clarkson as the 6th man. So this summer I'm looking to trade (if we get Simmons) Randle, Lou, Young, pick 32 and resigning Carkson and Black while bringing up Blue and Upshaw. I'm not sure we can afford to resign Clarkson then sign DD, Whiteside, and Parsons so I'd do a SnT of Parsons for Randle and Young. I'm sure Dallas is looking for a replacement PF to Dirk and I'm not sold on it being Powell. I'd also look at a big who can stretch the floor, a guy I like is Mo Speights to backup Whiteside.
Russell - Clarkson - Blue
Derozan - Lou - 32
Parsons - Brown - 32
Simmons - Nance - Black
Whiteside - Speights - Upshaw
I feel like if Simmons can reach that superstar 25-10-5 status with defense and ability to stretch with Russell learning to control a game while setting up and making others better, get his assist up to about 8-10 a night and limit his TO this team in a few years can be contenders forsure. Oh and Whiteside needs to keep his head straight and grow up a bit, he's 26 and so talented that he needs to be grateful of his oppurtunity. Even next season we can hit a 3-6 seed easily. |

I hope we don't hire Brooks, but what if that's one of the conditions for Durant to sign here, hopefully it isn't, because I want Luke.
If we don't keep our pick this year and if we do few trades, we'll easily have 3 max slots, so Durant, DeRozan and Whiteside would fit in our cap space, and we would still be able to offer max to Westbrook in 2017, think about that. |

Yes. And we can come close to offering two $25MM max deals and Whiteside's max ($21MM) even if we had the cap hold of the top 3 pick, if we shed Nick and Lou's salaries; we'd be about $3MM short if the cap is $90MM. But if it comes in higher, we might even have a shot if it's at $93MM or more. And that's a possibility.
Also, if Durant wanted Scott Brooks as the coach and would come here if we hired Brooks, the Lakers would be remarkably idiotic to not hire Brooks. Sorry folks, but I'm not prioritizing Luke Walton as the head coach over getting Kevin Durant. That's just a bullet you have to bite. |

Turner is doing well, but I wouldn't trade a #1 for him. Maybe not #2. #3? Maybe.

he is a rookie and with his running i would be skeptical. He is playing good. i will give u that
that being said Bird is going to take out deal to the bank happily.
Simmons/Ingram have the potential to be franchise players and with #1pick we will have a chance to chose 1
if we do keep the pick |
