Just went to my dad's homeland of Nigeria for three and a half weeks. My ATT plan said it would be $20 per MB of "data roaming" so I went without Internet the whole time.
Sure I missed my girl, my bro, and a million conveniences America has to offer (that I take for granted). But the hardest part was no internet.
What's the longest any of you guys have gone without Internet in the last ten years? And did you cope better than me? _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Probably a day. I'd probably give up and die. _________________ Don't let perfect be the enemy of good
About 30 years or so, and then I was stuck with a dial up for another 10 years or so. It was brutal. If you missed an episode of Gomer Pyle, Petticoat Junction, or The Time Tunnel, you had to wait for the rerun. The stress was unbearable. The internet arrived. The Cold War ended. Coincidence? I think not. With 24 hour access to porn and videos of kittens, who wants to play Global Thermonuclear Warfare?
22 Days in 2004, during our sail from the Galapagos to the Marquesas we had no internet access (although we did have text only email via our PAC modem connected through our SSB/HAM Radio via Sailmail.) _________________ I'm On point, On task, On message, and Off drugs. About a month back in 2006. My computer broke and I didn't have the money for a new one because I'd spent it all on a car, so had to wait until pay day to spend my commission on a new computer _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

Always get factory restore discs. When your computer breaks down or gets a virus you can take it back to factory condition. My computer is 8 years old and runs like the day I bought it. Of course I don't play games and all the things a lot of people do with their machines so I don't need the speed and graphics. I change pages, sites, in flash time, instantly.
You can google restore discs online. I got mine fro HP. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

November 29, 2011 - May 22, 2012. If you're speaking home-internet-wise.
Didn't had home internet throughout elementary to high school until my senior year.
Speaking of which, today, I was at a Social Security Administration building and some boy was crying about having no wi-fi in the building throughout my 3-hour waiting stay. _________________ (❍ᴥ❍ʋ) ʕʘᴥʘʔ (⌐ ͡■ ͜ʖ ͡■) (┛◉Д◉)┛( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽

I'm not the most technically advanced when it comes to computers. Fortunately nowadays I have a couple of friends who are, but I'm not someone who'd be able to restore a computer in all likelihood, unless it's easier than it sounds _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

When I was in elementary school and even junior high, I didn't have a laptop and smartphones weren't a thing yet. So literally every time I went on vacation, I would be without internet. It's kind of funny, I was on vacation counting down the days until the vacation would be over and I could have internet again. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Usually when I do a beach vacation (ie Hawaii, Bali, SE Asia etc etc) I disconnect from everything. So about 1-2 weeks is easy. _________________ Music is my medicine

Different times...back then you could survive without internet but now since everybody moved all their infrastructure online, you would be lost nowadays if you aren't online. I can't imagine trying to bank, shop, applying to college, applying to jobs, filing your taxes, checking email and messages, checking news and updates without some form of internet connectivity these days.

It is. You put the disc in the computer and follow the bouncing ball. I have six discs. A friend has a older computer. I restored his. He had four discs.
The discs run around $27.00 _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
