I know hes gone, but just curious to see what you guys think. if we had kept butler would it have been enough to get artest? i mean butler has the mental toughness that odom lacks and the guy can just flat out play. |

This topic has been beaten to death, friend.
The answer is yes, but hindsight is always 20-20 (This is coming from a guy against the Butler trade)
We just need to get over Artest.
Let him bring down the Queens, and we just enjoy our boys at Staples |

Yes. Then the Shaq trade would of been for Odom and Artest. "Beautiful"
Another idea. If the Pacers had known O'neil was going to be out 8 weeks could that had persuaded them to take Mihm or Kwame? _________________ When they ask me about Shaq, I say, 'I love Shaq, but [screw] Miami.' Is Butler better than Corey or Peja? That is your answer, which would be NOT by himself. Since Bird was looking for a one-for-one trade, Butler with other Lakers - not named Kobe, Lamar or Bynum - would still have been 2nd or 3rd option after Corey and Peja.
Lakers don't have anything to trade if they are trying to get an All Star player in return, unless they cut bait with Odom and his bloated contract. |

Nope, because Caron Butler no longer plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. _________________ A proud member of LakersGround.net for over 10 years [since April 28, 2001] |
