Props to Dub C who was their rap coach. Basically showed them how to rock it on the stage. |

The movie deserved to be nominated for best film.
Some of the actors deserved nominations as well.
But at least the Academy found a category where there are white nominees for the film (screenwriting).
Otherwise the film would've got 0 recognition.
I hope the film wins for screenwriting. And the whole cast goes on stage and gives a speech. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer, and maybe it's because I lived through all of this during the 80's, but the movie just didn't do it for me. I guess when you're in your teens and early 20's and you live this stuff everyday, it can be difficult to impress you with the movie version. Perhaps for those that aren't from L.A. and that generation, maybe I can see why it's loved so much. For me though, it was a bit cheesy. |

The whole movie I'm sitting there thinking, how the (bleep) does this dude look like Ice Cube so much?
"Oh. Oh now that makes sense," was my reaction when I saw the reason why. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts! |
