I liked this episode.

The "closer" in the cages is kind of trippy though. That voice he keeps using makes me think he's going to say, "Look at your man. Now look at me. Now back at your man. Now back at me. Sadly, your man is not me; but he can smell like me."

Interesting episode, but we are now, already, looming dangerously close to the bull (bleep) meandering will they/won't they reunite melodrama that TWD has been for the last 4 years. That scene with John Redcorn's kid and his stepsister in the "rich people" house...that was a great example of the kind of trite existentialist Beth and Darryl basic cable filler which they should only insert when the entropy line ends and they've run out of naturally interesting content.

This is why I wish they hadn't skipped ahead 9 days. So many story lines to explore during that time.

It's a better show than TWD so far. I didn't mind the "rich people" house scene. It reminded me of Night of the Comet

I did not mind it because we are talking about teenagers stuck in an area with nothing to do. At this point there is a certain amount of safety / protection so I understand letting your guard down and being typical stupid teens.

That is very different than Beth who had lost basically her entire family at the hands of zombies and humans. She knew first hand how alert and aware a person had to be to survive and still acted careless.

Travis beating down the army dude was brutal. All along I thought it'd be Madison who'd be the parent who'll do whatever it takes good/bad to keep the family alive, but it's looking like Travis is going to develop into that role.

The scene where that soldier ran into the helicopter blade was brutal.

That was a nice house Strand brought the group to. Right on the beach. I wonder if the group is going with Strand on the Yacht "Abigail" with him or are they going to stick to the plan of going to the Desert. Travis mentioned meeting at the "camp ground" when he was talking to the two teens.

Does anyone know what part of LA Strand's house was located?

I'm kinda torn on whether they should take the yacht. On the one hand, it would be different than TWD's theme of constant wandering and fighting other humans for resources. On the other hand, it could get really boring having nothing to do but sit on the boat and talk.

Well, I'd bet that a lot of people had the idea of using boats and ships to get away. I wouldn't be surprised if there were pirates that would want to take the ship, or at least any food and resources on it.

I'm wondering if a large portion of the military and government are actually on ships at sea.

The end scenes were at sunken city in San Pedro. The house however, looked more like Palos Verdes. There are no mansions like that near sunken city and there is no way they could have heard the shot from Palos Verdes. So I'll suspend disbelief and say that the mansion was in San Pedro. I did enjoy seeing my old childhood stomping grounds though

The last scene of Travis taking out Liza was very sad. I hope Strand stays on as a character next season. I really like that guy.

Does anyone know the significance of the end scene as they were panning out over the water? Couldn't quite make out what was happening there?

I think it's weird that Travis was willing to take out Liza. I mean... why so soon? She was still somewhat healthy, and she had her wits. She wasn't feeling sickly.

You'd think they'd wait until she was more sick to be 100% sure. Watch them find out that the mark on her side was from something kind of sharp and metal that she bumped into.

$6 million? Hmmm....

...oh wait. 3 bedrooms. Nevermind.

Totally would have bought it otherwise. (pretty sure I'm winning the Lotto)
