I am onboard. I'd love to see the Lakers give Peace a chance once more.

I would also love them to actually bring back 'Ron Artest' though. That would truly be something cool.

Welcome back MWP! I think he would be a great fit for this team of youngsters. We are weak on D and that is MWP's calling card.

Was. As in a couple of seasons before he retired.

Team will be in trouble if this dude is playing more than 10min a game. He is probably worse than "head of the snake".

If some here rant about Sacre taking away minutes from developing young studs (who are not even with the team yet)....

As a player? Absolutely not.

Yes. He was done as a player when he left the first time and hasn't played in the NBA in a year and a half.

It is true, he has not been an elite defender for a while. I am more interested in him mentoring the youngsters on what it takes to be a great defender.

Not word for word but basically.

He hadn't heard about the report the Lakers were interested in signing him. He loves the Lakers. He still thinks he can play in the NBA. (I think he said playing professional basketball is easy) He would play for the Lakers if asked. All in a strange Metta World Peace way.

Good god. He was already slow and a liability 3 years ago. You don't get younger playing in China.

Pincus on his twitter has said there is a real chance Ron will be a Laker.

He'd be there to guide Randle and not expected to really produce on the court (obviously).

I love it for what Ron can teach Randle defensively.

If Metta never see minutes on the court or only plays at garbage time I'm fine. He can be the Nash role like last season.

Hence, bring him in as a coach. Why waste a roster spot on him?

Being a coach is far different than being a teammate.
I can't see why not the Lakers use a spot for him, they can always waive him.

He's got history with us. Can teach Randle a lot. Best friends with Kobe on what could be the last ride for both of them. On top of that, it's not like we can use that roster spot any better at this point. I'm down with it, bring Ron back.

Since when did sideline reporter/coach get to practice with the team during the season?
