The sad thing is Lin is actually a pretty good player on O if used right. Good IQ, solid passer, good at getting by his man, willing shooter. He can do a lot of good things for a team if he found a home and a coach that backs him a few years. His D is really where he loses a lot of value.

And by most accounts, Lin is also a good dude. Nice story as to how he made it to the NBA.

Poor small Hornets fan base. They don't know what's gonna hit them.

looking at the traffic ranks, the houston forum is a bit more active (8600 vs 12532) so i'm not sure size matters, i think it's more a moderator disposition thing.

The Charlotte mods would probably need to go nuclear to have any hope.

I'm just shocked that there is an entire forum that is dedicated to the Hornets.

Nothing against the team. I just didn't think they had enough fans to keep a dedicated site active.

I feel for their mods. At least here we could kind of absorb them without them overwhelming everything. Over there it must be like a dam breaking into a pond.

All of NYK, HOU, LAL have large fanbase that can somewhat neutralize LOFs.
But a small market team like CHA w/ limited fanbase has NO chance aginst the Lin boys.

I think Rocket fans are much more consolidated on ClutchFans than Laker fans are on LG. I think LG's the biggest Laker site that's strictly a forum, but there are a good half-dozen large Laker sites where people shoot the (bleep) about the team. The Lin fans were distributed amongst those sites as well, which definitely helped.

RIP Hornets Forums 2015-2017....
It'll be esentially Jeremy Lin's unofficial forum home for the next 2 years. Lakers and Knicks could withstand the legions of their fans because they have a huge fanbase. Houston did ok because of their history as well...
