She claims she waited for two years to file the suit because she was "ashamed and embarrassed" of what happened and concerned her "conservative family" would find out.
She wants unspecified damages.
We've reached out to an attorney for Rose, but so far ... no word back.

Agreed. Hopefully this isn't true. Rose has always struck me more of an introvert compared to most players. What a terrible thing to be accused of doing.

Shocking story.

A Jane Doe brings a civil suit on an NBA Player. Obviously it could be true, but could also be complete BS. She waited two years to try to get NBA money?
I guess we will see if there is any real evidence or not. Waiting 2 years might be harder to prove if it did actually happen.

There is no way around it...Either this is true, or a blatant lie, and show who Derrick hangs with.
I am still mesmerized how can players stick to these crap behaviors even after years in the NBA (assuming they are not planning to be law abiding citizens ) and being constantly reminded how this is bad PR and the financial impact.
This was one year after his kid was born...
They can pay adult-entertainment-professionals, for god's sake and need not to this stuff....

Well this thread got predictably ugly pretty quick. It's good to know that armed with almost no information you guys have already insulted and taken a giant dump on the young woman. Nevermind that incidences of false rape accusation are extremely rare. But hey, nobody believed Cosby did it until 40 (bleep) women came forward and even still he's got supporters.

He's always struck me as the "Jason Collins" type. Funny story, I was watching DRose being interviewed on the NBA channel one Saturday afternoon. My wife walked in the room, looked at the TV for 5 seconds and said, "Who's the gay guy?" LOL
See what keeps me from believing it are because of his injuries what she's describing how can a dude with back to back knee injuries do what she's describing?
