No they haven't. |
Every able body male is legally required to serve in the military and then they are able to buy their gun from the military after they serve. But, gun ownership isn't required. |

It's the combination of underlying socio-economic factors, cultural factors, and easy access to guns that's created this huge problem. I don't think you can fix the problem without addressing all three. But as a society, we're not ready to confront it, so we have people on the various sides of the issue not really listening to each other. And thus senseless killings will continue, while other countries don't really have to worry about this stuff. It's sad.
And the collective inability to come together and solve problems isn't just limited to gun violence, but includes income inequality, political inequality, institutional racism, childhood poverty, public education, and other important issues. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |
