I don't even remember him on the Hawks he's always been a Nugget to me if I had to choose a team for him.

Coming off their most successful season in franchise history, the Hawks will celebrate an important piece of their past this season. The team announced on Tuesday that they’ll retire Dikembe Mutombo’s No. 55 jersey at the November 24 game against the Celtics.
Earlier this year, Mutombo was elected to the Hall of Fame. He played four and a half seasons with the Hawks, from 1996 to 2001, and is the franchise’s third all-time leading shot blocker with 1,094 rejections in a Hawks uniform.
For new owner Tony Ressler, this is a good way to get off to the right start with fans in Atlanta at a time when the Hawks have never been more successful. |

His Denver and Atlanta stints were comparable.
He played for Denver for 5 years; was an all-star 3 times; led the league in blocks 3 times; and won 1 DPoY.
He played for Atlanta for 4.5 years; was an all-star 4 times; led the league in rebounding; and won 2.5 DPoY. (He won one year when he was traded to Philly).
If you had to choose one team, either would be equally deserving for me. |
