Start him.

Starters: Huertas / Clarkson / Kobe / Bass / Hibbert
Second: D'Lo / Williams / Young / Randle / Black
3rd: Nance and Brown

Let's try to win games now and develop the rookies properly

Russell will start and Clarkson will play some PG as well when he subs out and Lou comes in. I don't see Huertas getting much playing time.

Marcelinho is and awesome passer. It's going to be like having Magic Johnson being backed up by John Stockton with Russell and Marcelinho. Think about it, we will have an awesome passer in there 48 minutes per game! Imagine if we still had MDA as coach?

This is hilarious...Magic backed up by Stockton? Really? How about it's like Conley backed up Rudy Fernandez. Comparing Russell and Marcelinho to Magic and Stockton is laughable...Wait until they play at least one minute...Geez.

Am I forgetting anyone?

Removing Sacre and Kelly is the only thing you forgot but other than that, looks fine.

Solid signing. I wanted someone like a Steve Blake to fill in that backup PG spot, but seems Huertas is a legit distributor and crafty scorer (when he decides to shoot).

I find it hard to believe that the Lakers haven't at least guaranteed a vet's minimum deal, maybe part of the room exception for him to leave the Euro league.

Yes, please Mitch.

We don't have much SF depth as it is and you guys want Nick Young gone?....

Jabari Brown can play SF just as well as Young, and Nance can play defense at SF better than Young can.

Jabari Brown is 6'4. Nance is a rookie who we don't even know if he belongs in the league yet. Nick Young is 6'7 and a proven spark off the bench. I wonder if you guys think things through sometimes...or you guys hate Nick Young a little too much.

IF Huertas is indeed a guaranteed deal, seems like Jabari Brown may be out. Kelly/Sacre are guarantees, not sure if the team will buy them out if they can't trade them.

Looks like Upshaw will have an uphill fight to make the team, let alone Holmes/Frazier.

I actually like the idea of starting Nick at the 3, assuming Byron's going to give him a fair chance and use him at all. Playing with Kobe might be the one thing to settle him down and cause him to focus on a specific role (defense and spot-up shooting). Off the bench, I think he's more likely to revert to old habits.

It really depends on how many players LA carries and how many bigs. If LA only wants to carry five guards (not counting Kobe and young), then parker and Frazier would be in competition.

Just having guys names Frazier and Holmes around makes the team sound tougher. Maybe we can find guys named Ali, Norton, and Foreman to be training camp fodder too.

I feel like this move has to do a lot with the direction our team is going to. More PNR with pass 1st PGs. This can only help during practice where the 1st and 2nd teams have a dose of their own play making PG. It's going to be fun during practices. Everyone is talking about the players getting acclimated to a passing guard. Here they are.

I think he'll adjust his coaching some...a little more PNR, a few more 3's...but not 3 happy like MDA.

Actually I think Kobe is the one who doesn't like the pick and roll. From what I've been told, Byron really embraced the PnR late in the season. His NO team ran pick and rolls all the time in fact.
