This is a tough one. My initial thought was that they ought to consider building a separate bathroom to accommodate both the trans person as well as the un-trans folks.
But then it gets weird because you'd have girls (who were boys) and boys (who were girls) in the same "trans only" bathroom.

Yup. No way to make a girl feel comfortable changing around a guy who in his mind wants to be a girl. And it's uncomfortable the other way around too.
A trans only bathroom is still a better solution in my eyes though as opposed to the free for all it is now.
But you're right. Are schools going to have to build 4 separate bathrooms/locker rooms now to appease everyone now? What if someone comes up with a new orientation? Gotta draw the line somewhere |

How about just labeling the bathrooms; Penis and Vagina?
That solution leaves little doubt. Don't care whether you think you're a girl or you think you're a boy, you have a penis you get your ass in the penis bathroom, you have a vagina you go to the vagina bathroom.
No more people making a point about who they are inside by going into different bathrooms. Problem solved.

There are stalls if she is that uncomfortable, but...men have that problem as well. We have to endure urinals. We are "forced" to show our penises in front of other men too. The fear is unfounded anyway. Ain't nobody looking. The person you're peeing next to is just like you, they don't want to look, and they don't want you looking.

Good point, they can just make sure there are privte stalls, thats pretty simple. I was only being facetious, and some devils advocate so to speak( I am not calling anyone a devil). As for the last part, if you go to a public gym in Los Angeles there are all types in the mens rooms. |

Which is really the heart of this issue. Is a person's gender defined by their biological makeup or their mentality? I side with science and say biology lets us know what chromosomes they have

I worked at a warehouse once, there was a tranny there, although you could tell by his muscularity she was actually a man, he would use the mens bathroom. I occasionally would see him using the urinal. No one thought anything of it. There was no problem. |
