My very undereducated opinion on this year's draft at his early juncture.

1) Jaylen Brown
2) Ben Simmons
3) Dragan Bender
4) Kris Dunn
5) Skal Labissiere
6) Brandon Ingram

Luwawu playing well early in the Adriatic League:

15, 4, 2, and 2 steals in 9 games played. Shooting 43% from 3 on 6 attempts per game

Recent footage of Bender against a tough team.

Not too impressed.

Here's Ben Simmons working on his jumper

Anyone wanna discuss the problems with the shot and what he needs to do to fix it?

Cause this is all kinds of jumpers....all kinds...

And here's some Caris LeVert so that Mike -at- LG can do some somersaults

Simmons - Sometimes inconsistent shot pocket. Left elbow sticks out, isn't linear. Leads to different release points when the ball comes off the hand. Notice how the release point, the hand goes left. No legs. Flat. Shot pocket beside his head doesn't always start at the same spot.

Also, already saw the LeVert highlights. Playmaker, lost about 1/2 step but can get it back. Enjoyed the pull up 3 off a screen. Two rip-throughs into a jumpstep from the 3pt. line.

UK vs Duke live now. Skal and Ingram in action.

Labissiere being abused by Plumlee on the offensive boards. 4 Offensive rebounds for 9 points already.

Plumlee outplaying Labissiere pretty thoroughly thus far

His release point can be inconsistent, which often is the result of the stroke not being effortless - it's a bit out of his range, that 3 point shot. Maybe the release is a bit high, making the stroke not effortless and a bit tight, doesn't get full follow through extension half the time, inconsistent. Not Julius Randle tight, but tight enough to have absolutely zero range outside of where he's shooting from in that vid.

Also not a fan of his closed stance. I've seen footage of his lower body shooting, he's not shoulder width apart. There are some shooters like Harden and Curry who don't have to be shoulder width, but it doesn't work with Simmons' stroke. It looks like any body movement at all after he shoots, messes up the accuracy left or right. He needs to pose and be completely still after he shoots.

Think we need to start talking about Valentine. Was high on him last year as well but he didn't declare.

29 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists. Was playing solid defense and making clutch basket after clutch basket (as a primary ballhandler). Great size for the wing position at 6'6, 223. Will be coming out as a senior so he should be ready to contribute off the bat.

Who's the D'Angelo Russell of 2016? The guy no one saw shooting up the boards because of an impressive freshman season.

Even Russell didn't know he was Russell until mid-last season.

Yeah, I totally get that, but Russell was a top 20 ranked incoming freshman, so it wasn't quite that outrageous.

I guess I'm saying, is there any guy in the top 25 incoming class that no one is really paying attention to as a top 5 prospect? E.g., Dwayne Bacon who mocks have going in the early-mid 20s and is rated the 14th best freshman. Note: I don't actually think it's going to be Bacon, just using him as an example.

Dang, maybe I should've stuck to that prediction. Bacon averaging 25 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists/steals through 2 games.

I need to see the play. Statistics are going to be inflated early on considering the NCAA comp. Midseason is telling.

Thanks for the stats, I haven't caught any of his games. I'm not sure if we have a 2nd round pick, but if we do - it'd be such a steal if we could land him.

MSU blew out AR Pine Bluff, Valentine with 7, 7, 11, and 2 steals. Only 1-8 from 3 though. He's jumped up to 26 in the DX mock.

Mike Schmitz broke down his game against Kansas the other day:

Timothe Luwawu dropped 22 pts on 12 FGAs for Mega Leks again today. 4-8 from 3. I don’t know that I’ve ever done a 180 on someone so fast

I don't think its a fluke, he's an elite athlete with big upside. He will be in the lottery on mock drafts by the end of the year.

Every 1st rounder that has a big name has unreal statistics right now. I don't expect Grayson Allen to average 27ppg for the season.

Skal Labisierre otoh, poor defensive rebounding.

Yeah, not for nothing but I really don't see "it" in Skal. I never really have seen the big deal with him. Doesn't seem the franchise changing kind of big, he reminds me more of Myles Turner if anything.
