Not much. But the point of it is to experiment with lineups, etc.
Why are we doing hockey platoon swaps? Why not mix/match Clarkson/Lou, Lou/DLO for example? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I don't care if they go winless as long as we see progress. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I don't care about wins and losses at all. Steady improvement and increased chemistry are much more important. |

Don't care about wins. No one should.
The real question should be -- how important is playing well in the preseason?
To me, it's important. |

You don't want to lose all of the pre season games, however it doesn't matter if you come out with a losing record. Pre season is the time to, get in shape, experiment, and take a good look at the players trying to make the team.
I've seen many top pre season winners end up last when the season starts. |

Pretty much. I was enjoying the game until BS let Sucre in the game and then Kelly at the 3. Every time I see that I want to turn off/switch channels, can't tolerate that (bleep). I'm praying Upshaw is gonna show up soon. |

Minimal. At this point, you're looking to see the comfort level of our young players and how they play as a team. Is there a lot of ball watching, or stagnant offense? Are they active defensively? |

Not important one bit. But, as has been previously stated, more interested in how well the team is playing overall, and seeing improvement going forward.

Well when the genius decision was made to hire Mike Brown I believe we went 0-8 and it ended up being pretty indicative of how that season went. |

So what you're saying is that preseason has nothing to do with regular season then?
Because we did not go 0-8 when Mike Brown was hired. |

not important at all. historically, it hasn't ever meant much as far as a reflection on the regular season, or even being able to tell who is good or not. the best thing to come out of preseason is kobe's dunk on ben wallace. |

Not at all. Too many factors in who plays how many minutes to worry about winning. |

They're playing, hopefully, to showcase themselves so the team can salvage some trade value to sign someone like Upshaw. |

How is it strange I want to see Upshaw over the likes of Sacre/Black and Kelly in his natural position? |

I want to see the best players in a position to succeed, we saw that with Sacre and Kelly last night. If Upshaw is better than Sacre, then we will see him playing and not Bob. Kelly is a 8-9 player at this point. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

When you play good basketball you tend to win games, so, yeah..it would be nice to see good offense and defense and win. Not expecting it thus far |

This will be the first preseason I've ever placed any importance on preseason games. I'd like to see some semblance of their systems working. I've noticed that they have looked pretty disjointed the last few preseasons, so I'd like to see them looking a little more cohesive, and in turn picking up some wins. Usually I don't take much stock in preseason games, as I'm usually looking at other particular details, but I'd like to see the young guys playing well and feeling like they should get after it every time they are on the court. _________________ "It's just a job. Not important in the slightest. We have so many new players. What matters is that they look like a team.
If we find combinations that prove to work, then Byron's job is to throw in another lineup that he's unsure about to see if that works.
With that said, the players should try to win. But we shouldn't only stick with lineups that we know give us the best chance to win because we need to find out information right now. |
