One thing is obvious. You cannot play three rookies. And they are green.
Kobe can only do so much, but Randle cannot shoot the outside shot yet.
Have to put in Bass to start. Don't see Russell and Clarkson having any special chemistry. All on paper, no results.
Second team came in and turned the game around. the effort on defense was good.
Why Lakers lost:
Lou 4-13 shooting
Hibbert 4-11 shooting
Young 4-13 shooting
The Lakers are a POOR passing team. Taking long shots instead of working
the ball around. Remember ball and player movement is the new NBA.
I can see why you don't like Young for he can shoot you out of the game with
his long chuckers. Looks good when goes in but look at the numbers.
Kobe is still Kobe. He can adjust to the passing game. the problem is
the other players not passing or taking bad shots. Kobe can do it because he is Kobe. |

To be fair Clarkson and Russell only played 1 real game together. But I also agree they probably won't mean well as both need the ball in their hands. I wanna see something from Russell in the next couple games. Okafor showed something, mudiay showed something now we need dlo to show us why he's face of our team.
O ya and I forgot can't wait till Byron is gone |

i just afraid Russell won't get a fair shot at running this team with B Scott and Kobe still on this team. Russell does not have the aggressive mentality like Clarkson does, i don't see him challenge Scott's system and/or Kobe's style of play even it's the right thing to do. we just have too much riding on Russell, can't come up with a system best suited for him is still a head scratcher |

Artest looked good last night. I'm thinking him coming in as a second unit could really cause some hell |

The Lakers are a poor passing team because of the offense that we run. |

I think scott threw both games because he thinks losses are teaching moments. Unfortunately he doesn't have anything in mind to teach. |
If they win, he can't justify tomorrow's extra wind sprints. |
The only lesson Byron showed the team last night is that no matter how hard he runs them, no matter how hard they fight to win. He will abandon them and cause them to lose the game solely to prove an invalid point. Thats not the kind of coach "i'd want to be in a foxhole with" because he just "shot his team in the back"......They wanted this win, they deserved this win, they NEEDED this win and Byron screwed them over in the last 5 min. How does this build character or trust? Seriously no wonder he's lost every locker room he's coached.
Hibbert wasn't even icing down, he didn't have on his warm ups, he was hovering in the huddles waiting to come back in and finish off his stellar game with a win, and got left hanging. Albeit the team showed major improvement, all of those individual games were negated by the atrocious OT lineup and the loss.
This is not a character defining moment for the team, this is a players/coach dividing moment for the team.... |
