You may have to address that with AT&T next if the mega-merger comes to fruition. |
I was referring to the fact they could've been on Free TV if they made the World Series....
But I already said earlier than the AT&T has nothing to do with the Dodger media rights because that was held by Time Warner Cable not Time Warner...Time Warner spun off their cable company back in 2009. Their media rights are held by Charter when they merged with Time Warner Cable. So the AT&T merger has nothing to do with whether you get to see Dodgers or Lakers games. |

Good season LA.
I cannot believe we're going to the World Series. |

As long as the Giants and Cards are nowhere near the NLCS or even playoffs I'm good with whatever. |

This. 13 years later, and we finally got that double play to get us out of the 8th inning.
You guys are still my guys though on the Lakers/Kings side of the things. |

Not so much the fans as the city. Chicago needs something to be happay about. I bet the shooting are way down this weekend. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Being a Dodger fan is feeling a lot like a T'Wolves fan back in the day.....you have all this talent but theres obviously a ceiling they keep hitting and can't advance further. Our GM has a lot of work to do this offseason.

I like the manager, but the front office is disappointing. They are paying out big money to this crew of suits and honestly thinking you can win a world series with a one man rotation is preposterous.
I agree, Greinke got overpaid. But there were other guys available, Cueto of course being the most obvious that they chose to ignore to instead pay money to broken down invalids.
We need upgrades all over the roster to win a world series, this season was really a bit of fool's gold in my opinion with some great managing by Roberts getting us past the Nats or else it is another first round exit. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Not the strongest first post in this site's history.
In fact, one of the worst combined with the troll username.
How about you go back to the gas station glory hole and leave the Dodger talk to the big boys? _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Yep, I get using a starter in relief if it was game 7 of the World Series.....like Madison Bumgarner for the Giants in 2014 or Randy Johnson for Curt Schilling in 2001.....
But they were doing it for the NLDS......that just shows you how thin they were in pitching this postseason. They were basically riding him this postseason and eventually he would have a game where he looked normal.....
You can ride your team on 2 exceptional starting pitchers in a postseason, doing it on 1 these days? Nope. |

Overall a successful season. Unlike past years, cant say this team underachieved, given everything that happened.
Given the cards we were dealt, Roberts (and the rest of the guys) did a great job getting us as far as we could, against the best team in the MLB. It's disappointing, but have to keep things in perspective.
Hope we can get our rotation in order, add a few more bats, and have some more consistency next season. |

Putting my disappointment aside, I think this was mostly a successful season from which to build upon moving forward... unlike the '14 and '15 runs, which both felt like the team hit a wall and needed a major shake-up. The best offseason acquisition was Dave Roberts, no question about it. I can't express how good it feels knowing that we have a competent, youthful skipper at the helm who clearly made more with less. Let's see what he can do with a stronger roster, provided the FO gives him one.
EDIT: Didn't see post above before posting. Pretty similar sentiments. _________________ 1996-2016
